Ashley Dances

Ashley was beginning to suspect that the crowd was waiting for something.

A performance, perhaps?

Well, she wasn't going to disappoint them.

She set her cocktail glass safely on the nearest table, raised both arms, and announced, “Okay, everybody! Let's dance!”

Before anyone could respond, she hopped off the step and plunged into the middle of the dance floor.

The crowd parted in astonishment.

Ashley took this as a sign of respect.

She began to dance with tremendous enthusiasm, spinning, swaying, and throwing herself into every move as though she were auditioning for a music video.

People cheered.

Someone whistled.

A couple of phones appeared in the air.

Ashley grinned from ear to ear.

Finally! An audience that appreciates my talent!
