Arriving At The Sun Academy

It's been a long bit now after you had Amelia in your grasp. The fresh memory loops inside your head, you can still feel the coiling softness of her flesh and the tightness of her muscles around your finger.

You glance back to the back of the bus out of curiosity. Amelia and her friend is talking casually to one another, smiles present on their faces. Amelia's friend, Casey, who's also a little smaller in size but not as much as her has fair skin with a light peppering of freckles on her cheeks. Her brown hair is tied into a twin braid and rests down her shoulders framing her meek face. Large round glasses sit on the bridge of her nose magnifying her eyes up a size or two. To complete the whole picture Casey's also a bookworm of sorts and is always seen walking around with at least one or two novels or textbooks in hand. She has always been a little shy but does make her points known when needed.

Casey sits there talking about an erotic adult novel she read last night almost unashamedly lost in her explanation, while Amelia sits next to her slumped with half open eyes still trying to calm herself down. Quite the irony, last night while Casey was immersed in romance literature her dear friend, Amelia, was experiencing the real thing.

You cheekily smirk in the open and just for a moment you and Amelia make eye contact. You just stare at her with a knowing look and she glares daggers at you while her cheeks puffs up angrily. You swear you can see her boiling up like a little kettle.

The scenery outside is beautiful as you ride the bus. In 2125, society has advanced to the point where there is little to no pollution resulting in clean air and blue skies. The streets are clean, the people are happy and nature is thriving alongside an eco friendly humanity. What is considered old architecture or technology now consists of what you would call modern in your old life. The only drawbacks you could think of is the occasional brewing of political drama here and there as well as the threat of WMDs being mass produced. A little of a harrowing thought but that's nothing new.

In the distance as the bus travels across a large bridge you catch a few students going to school on hoverboards. They're lifted off the ground slightly just strolling by at a jogging pace. You then shift your gaze over to nearby street signs displaying colorful holographic texts that hover slightly in the air. The images animate every few seconds.

The biggest news on TV are technological advances that keeps pushing the boundaries of reality, and the arms race to colonize Mars.

Soon nano tech and maybe even artificial intelligence could become a reality, any day now the reveal could happen and the world would once again change forever.

The bus finally rounds the block towards the school campus. You can already see it, the prestigious~ Sun Academy. Funded and managed by The Sun Corporation it stands proudly in the outer section of the city. This school has procured the greatest of minds to ever grace this side of the world. It's clean aesthetic and well designed campus allows for ease of travel through it with plenty of areas to enjoy the campus greenery. Behind the school are the fields for track and field.

Of course with you being a senior here means you already know this already. This place has been your second home for the last few years and it will continue to be until your graduation. However, unlike other schools this academy has an extra optional 5th year course that a student can apply for and is akin to a college degree. This course separates you entirely from the rest of the student body and confines you in another section on campus.

There is a high entrance requirement and only the top 30% of students from a year can apply. Anyone who attends have 1 chance to succeed, doing so they'll be able to skip the usual requirements needed and is guaranteed a job at Sun Corp. where the big bucks are.

Of course being fascinated by technological advancement and science fiction you immediately seized the opportunity to work at the most amazing company to ever exist.

The bus strolls past the front security gates and you look down at all the other students that are flooding into campus. Several young bright eyed students that you've never seen before walk, run and skip all over.

This is also the first week of school, so you've already situated yourself with everything.

The bus comes to a stop after moving past the first sector of campus and into the private sector where you 5th years are confined to. A small jingle of tunes sound throughout the speakers alerting you and the students to get off. You quickly get up and walk down the aisle. Amelia and Casey follow behind you....you can still feel her gaze pinned to the back of your head.
