Area J - Hallway

The hallway you've stepped into appears to be in a state of partial ruin, just like the rest of the fortress - the carpet and the statues lining the hall retain an air of stately prominence, but their prime has clearly passed. The walls, oddly enough, have been polished to such a smooth sheen that they are as reflective as mirrors.

The room is illuminated by glowing orbs that drift slowly through the air. Each one shimmers a soft pink light and seems to hum softly, as if they're echoing a chord played on a distant instrument. They also seem laden with erotic energy, most likely an extension of the succubus' power; it would probably be wise to avoid touching them. With so many of them hovering throughout the hallway though, that isn't going to be an easy task.

The hallway extends down to your right and terminates in an open archway; the archway opens onto a spiral staircase that extends upwards out of sight. Judging by the position of the stairs, they likely lead up into the succubus' den. There's also a closer door built into the wall - the window set into it suggests that it leads outside. You could make your way outside through there, but there are far more of the pink orbs hovering around it - that isn't your problem right now though.

Regardless of whether you go for the stairway or the exit door, you'll need to deal with those bubbles first... they are dispersed enough that you could simply try and avoid them as you advance down the hall. You could also try to carefully move them aside somehow to make a wider path for yourself... or you could try dispersing them, if it's possible to do so safely.
