Approach the bed

Jake stepped towards the bed. It looks freshly made, which was strange, considering the rest of the house seemed deserted. Jake looked closer at the bed. The blankets, pillows and sheets were all the same shade of dark red. There was, however, something strange about it, something that Jake couldn't place his finger on. He reached down and touched the blanket. It felt warm, as if someone had just been sitting on it.

Suddenly, the hairs on the back of Jake's neck pricked up and he felt that someone was standing behind him.
