See what's behind him

Slowly, Jake turned around. Standing behind him was the strangest person he'd ever seen in his life. The person's face was so white that it was almost luminescent, while his hair was so black that it was difficult to tell where his hair ended, and the darkness began. He had a prominent scar down his left cheek, and his eyes were the same colour at the bed behind Jake.

"Hello", the stranger said. His accent was foreign, though Jake couldn't place it. "I am Tariq."

Tariq smiled. For the first time, Jake saw his teeth. They were pearly white, and as sharp as knives.
