Approach the Lookout

Keeping low to the ground and sticking to the shadows, Edmond circled around the lookout's hiding spot until he was certain he was in a blind spot. Only then did he begin his approach, slowly making his way up the hill. Still wary of other goblins, Edmond kept an arrow notched, his eyes darting around looking for more glints of metal, eyes, or light green skin amidst the trees and hills.

After several minutes he was behind the lookout. Green legs covered in small cuts stuck out of the bush they were laying in, a plump green rear visible through the leaves and thorny branches. The goblin was dressed in a green cloak caked in dirt and mud, and little else save for some simple rags tied around her sensitive places. From her position, her weapon couldn't be anything very large, likely only a dagger.

Edmond stowed his bow and placed his hand on the handle of his short sword. At this range the bow wouldn't be the most effective weapon, after all.

He could kill her, stab her from behind with his sword. At this distance and with the element of surprise it wouldn't be hard. But was it necessary? In melee, nonlethal takedowns were more feasible. If he fancied sparing some goblins, he had the option to just knock the lookout out with a pommel strike and tie her up so she couldn't cause problems. But, if he was willing to risk it, he could try getting some information from her first. Knowing more about what he was walking into could be the difference between life and ****.
