Adam is panting ****, rolled over on the bed beside me, still nude, and his meat stick slowly coming down from a full mast, very wet. Alice is dressed, but has one hand down her pants, the other under her shirt, both moving as she moans… not the whore's voice, though… the bed is soaked right around where this body's legs are still spread, and there's a hefty amount of a milky white liquid slowly seeping out.
“What. The. Abyss?” I ask as I sit up.
“Ooh, that was so hot…” The detective bucks her hips.
“You have a cuck fetish?” I squint and shake my head.
That makes her pause, “No… never did before… in fact I've always been a little possessive. But I threw him at you. Why did I…” she breaks off and moans as she shakes and screams, then slides down the wall to the floor, “...oh that was so hot.”
At least the pressure is gone from those stupid orbs. And… some letters are showing up over Adam's head now. “Det. A. Silver, Lvl 1 Incanter” I purse my lips, and comment on it, “Hey, Alice… do you see anything weird about Adam?”
A bit of a dreamy look on her face, she looks over, “Well, he's naked and exhausted… and… Okay, an Incanter has something to do with spells? How is there text floating over his head?”
“You have it too, it doesn't reflect, so you're not going to see that you're an Arcanist in the mirror.” I consider, “Do I?”
“No, you don't,” she frowns. “What's an Arcanist?”
I consider, “Well… it's a magic class from a game. Umm…” I consider, “...you should be able to do magic. With me, I just kind of focus on what I want and boom, although it might help that I do my own ‘sheet’ and know exactly what I'm capable of at all times.” But if yours shows, and mine doesn't… am I some kind of admin?
I focus on the text floating over Alice for a bit, and in a moment, I have her sheet up in front of me… huh, she has a spellcasting tradition? Verbal Casting (she has to talk loudly), Somatic casting (and gesture, which requires a free hand), Magical Signs (looks like her eyes glow brightly when she casts), Emotional Casting (she can't be under most forms of mind control if she's going to be making the magic), Spell Stand in (grants the Conjuration sphere, but she can't use her magic without the creature summoned) and Innate Curse (Unaligned - I don't think she's going to care that alignment subtype outsiders instinctively distrust her). She'll get a lot of spell points out of that… eventually. What's she know… Destruction, and two supporting Conjuration talents. Huh… with the Destruction talent being her flexible one… a template on the companion and a sphere-specific drawbacks for Conjuration….
“Uh, Dan?” Alice interrupts my concentration, and the interface fades.
“Sorry… so… I can apparently see the magic you can do. Umm…” I consider, “Do you have a firing range?”
“We're not supposed to set off guns in a residential zone, what's that…” she begins.
“Not guns, magic.” I explain, “It's going to be loud and bright, but the range isn't insane and I can provide targets, so we just need a good amount of room.”
“Oh, that's not a problem. Come on…” She waves, and I follow, sliding on a hoodie (my skirt already being in place, ish). I cast Fastidiousness as we go, and soon I'm fresh as a daisy.
We go a bit away from the building out back, through waist high grass. I'd complain about her lack of mowing, but… it's a square mile. Maybe if she bought a herd of goats? She stops more than a football field away from anything, “Is this far enough?”
“Should do…” I focus a moment on casting Mount to get a pony, a placid animal showing up exactly where I wanted, “Okay, so… you basically have two spells, although you can change one of them out, the other is rather innate.” I didn't get too deep into her sheet… I hope she has the Quick Study exploit, it's great. “You, specifically, are going to need the summon out to cast, so we should start with that. Just… umm… focus on getting it out, and do what feels right.”
She raises an eyebrow at me, but plays along. Putting one hand to her forehead, she speaks some nonsense and waves her hand for a full minute as she lights up the area with her eyes… I take a picture… and a little later, she has a horse-sized white cat with rainbow stripes standing in front of her, complete with a saddle… no bit or bridle, though. She squeals when she's done, and hugs the creature's furry neck, “Rainbow Slash!”
I tilt my head and take another picture, “Ah… you already have a name for her?” Yes, the cat is a girl. Very obviously so.
“Oh yes, she was my imaginary pet growing up,” Alice pauses, “Not so imaginary now, are you?” She pets the beast's head, and it purrs, a deep rumble I can feel in my bones.
“Right, well, now that she's out, you should be able to use your other spell,” I shrug, “currently a basic destructive blast, but you can alter that when you rest up. Works basically the same way.”
Alice nods, and focuses, waves her hands and speaks a word, and the air between her pet and the pony ripples, a bright flash fills the area she's viewing, and a big, nasty gash appears on the beast's side. The miniature horse runs off, still alive… at least for the next twelve hours, when the spell wears off.
She stands there, mouth agape, “That's… I'm a gun?”
“Eh, kind of,” I consider, “You need to be able to move and speak loudly, you can't have any foreign influences on your emotional state, and you need Rainbow Slash out… but that spell you can change out.” I pause, “...I should probably go through everything I can see and write it all out for you. That way you'll know what you can do.”
“Good call… once we're back inside,” she licks her lips, “RS, want to hunt down that meal?”
Alice gets on her oversized pet cat, and the two chase after the fleeing summon. I chuckle as I watch the two having fun….
What about Adam?
