Anna

You had known Anna since middle school and had not developed a crush on her until the first year of high school. She had lived near you but you had never been able to tell her how you felt. You didn’t want to invite her to your place this weekend. But if you didn’t you feared that if she saw that you had Ashley over and not her she would think less of you. Back in high school you both met Ashley and Anna had disliked Ashley. The reason you heard from Ashley is that she had caught the eye of some boy that Anna liked. She never told you who it was but teased you about it. Ashley knew your feelings regarding Anna and found it cute.

Your plan as of moment was not something you were proud of. You planned on inviting Anna and telling her Ashley was coming over to get her to not come in a way that didn’t make it feel like you didn’t want her over. After that you would hopefully plow Ashley and next week ask out Anna. It was far fetched but you figured to at least try. So after classes you ran into Anna outside. “Hey Anna” you called out, she turned around and smiled as soon as she saw you.

She looked so cute, you wanted her so bad. Not in the same way that you wanted Ashley. You wanted Ashley. just to sleep with her. With Anna you wanted to cherish her. Anna was dressed in a baggy sweater, with round glasses on and her hair in a ponytail. She didn’t look too nerdy, which she was, but she was cute. Many guys attempted to bed her but she refused them all. As you walked towards her you wished for a second you hadn’t invited Ashley just so Anna would be over. But you remembered your plan and if you didn’t you couldn’t find it in your body to tell Ashley not to come. All she would have to do to change your mind would be to flash those green eyes at you and have rack out a little to convince you.

“Hey Ryan how are you” she asked still beating that cute smile of her while staring at you. You lost your train of thought for a moment. “I’m good, I’m good so far today” you almost stuttered out. “Well that’s good” Anna said before letting out an adorable giggle. “Hey listen Anna I’m having a pool party this Saturday if you’re interested” you told her. Her smile only grew when hearing this “that sounds fun, who’s all going” she asked. Here came the hard part now but you had to keep a straight face. Ashley told you that Anna didn’t think anyone else knew about her dislike of Ashley, except Ashley and one other girl you all knew. One thing you knew about Ashley is that she was good at keeping secrets. So you had an alibi.

“Well so far just Ashley and some people she’s inviting” you said convincingly enough. Anna’s smile quickly deflated “Oh, I just remembered I might be out of town this weekend”. You felt like shit now but it was too late now. “Oh okay well if you’re in town still and want to show up you’re still invited” you told her. Her smile appeared once more “well I’ll come if I’m in town”. That made you feel less shitty, you two said goodbye and you headed home and waited for Saturday.
