Plans can come back together
And quickly, when pushed
The elders and Archie had left with slow goodbyes. He'd given Sally a way to contact him, and even touched his forehead to hers. Sally didn't know what it meant. James had hope that the lavender color it brought out would turn the same golden color Aurora had for him. It explained why the other Novaxans had the reactions they always did.
When there was a knock at the door, late at night, he'd assumed it was for Nebula. Mostly because all he'd heard was the Novaxan chittering and clicking sounds. He didn't move from his bed, staring at the ceiling, until after a bright green light reached into the room. He turned his head to see Nebula, grinning wide.
"I take it there's good news about Sally and Archie?"
He shook he head. "No just come see this."
He took off almost running into the main room. James grunted and stood, following him slowly. The green glow gave away his location quickly enough. Behind the couch? He leaned over, finding him laying down with a smile. "Behind you."
James tried to turn. Before he could, two slender blue arms wrapped around him and the room lit up with blue and gold. He whipped around quickly, a bigger smile than he'd thought possible on his face. Aurora stood there, with teary eyes and a smile of her own. "Hey."
