"You are not like the others we've claimed," the Elder Toad's voice croaked in Myria's head.
Myria and Amber shared a confused look. "What do you mean?" Amber asked.
"You fight. You slay." The toad beckoned with one hand. "You can be worth more than breeding stock."
Amber and Myria cautiously approached the Elder Toad's throne. As they grew closer, they smelled his powerful pheromones emanating from him. Myria felt a tremble of pure arousal, stronger even than the venom in the lesser toad's barbs.
"I am Urku," the voice said. "I am the Elder of my tribe."
"I am Myria," Myria said, her pulse increasing. "This is Amber."
"Myria and Amber," the toad's psychic voice repeated. "We wish you to be of use to us. And in return, we can make a trade."
"What trade do you offer?" Amber asked. "What could we possibly want from you?"
"Freedom," the Elder said simply. "My tribe will let you return to the surface lands."
Myria and Amber shared another apprehensive glance. "And what... service... would you ask of us."
