What is the physical test?
An obstacle course
Valerie made her way to the proving grounds with a newfound confidence. After what seemed like forever, she was finally wearing something appropriate for an agent. Her confidence returned as she began to strut, her new catsuit clinging to every curve of her body like a second skin. The material felt silky smooth against her naked skin beneath, complimenting her curves with zero hindrance to her movements.
To her mild surprise, Gloria awaited her at the start of the course. She had a stopwatch in one hand and a tablet in another. "I'll be observing your performance today," she began, smiling sweetly -almost too sweetly. For a moment, Valerie thought she saw a hint of menace in her eyes, but that feeling quickly faded as Gloria continued, "Your objective is to get the best time you can. You pass if you complete the course in less than fifteen minutes."
Valerie did some stretches to warm up. She noticed Gloria eyeing her body from the side of her eyes while pretending to stare at the tablet screen. "What's the record?", she asked, only to break the awkward silence.
"Record? Oh..." Gloria replied, averting her eyes as Valerie bent over in front of her, unknowingly presenting Gloria with a view of the skintight suit clinging to the shape of her derriere. "Um, seven minutes and thirty five seconds." she responded.
Valerie simply nodded. She had done this course a few times over her time in the agency, and thus was familiar with its layout. She wanted to show Chief and the organization that despite her...clothing issues, she was still the best agent they had. Her personal best wasn't too far away from the record, and she knew she could do better. If she broke the record today, that would be a definitive statement of her quality - something Chief wouldn't be able to ignore.
Valerie's thoughts were interrupted by a smattering of cheers. She looked in the direction of the sound, to find a few of her friends at the agency. The proving grounds were designed like an arena, with a few seats for superiors to observe the events. It seemed some of her friends had decided to show up and support her. She spotted Iris (with a thin sarong wrapped over her leather harness) and Hawk, alongside her friends Priya and Nina from her time in the academy sitting in some of the seats.
"You go, girl!" shouted Nina. "Show them what you got!" Her message was met with encouraging cheers from the others. Valerie felt energized. Her friends believed in her. She could do this.
"On your mark," said Gloria, starting the countdown. Valerie waved to her audience, then made her way to the starting spot. She took a deep breath, preparing herself.
"Three...Two....One...Go!"
And with that, Valerie began to sprint, racing against time with her career as an agent on the line.
