Chapter 6 by Eugene_Oregon Eugene_Oregon

What's next?

An interview with a journalist

"-clothes?!"

"Ah, so that's how that question ends!"

The Doctor was beaming at her from across the TARDIS console, fingering a recorder.

"W-what?"

"I've waited decades for you to finish that question. So it was clothes you wanted!"

"Yes, and I still do!" why was he being so unhelpful?

"What did you say your name was, dear?"

"Ruby Sunday! Now, please, get me something to wear!"

"It looks like our time is up. Until next time, Ruby Sunday!"

The console room faded once more, leaving the embarrassed, cold girl to wonder when she would next be able to wear clothes.

The TARDIS console room rematerialised...but once again, it was different

"Oh, hello."

Twisting around, Ruby saw a young woman lingering in the doorway, unsurprisingly shocked at the sudden appearance of a naked girl.

"Sarah Jane Smith, pleased to meet you."

She walked over and held out her hand. Blushing, Ruby quickly shook it, briefly flashing her breasts.

"R-Ruby Sunday. Do you think I could have something to wear?"

"Oh, you're back again."

A deep, booming voice made the blonde girl look around. It was the Doctor; this time wearing a trench coat, a long, stripy scarf, and a faded, wide-brimmed hat.

"You know her?"

"Yes, Sarah. Ruby has appeared a few times before in the TARDIS, but never for very long, and not for a very long time."

"You never give me any clothes, either!" Ruby interjected.

"Doctor! Look at her, she's freezing!"

Hurrying over to him, Sarah plucked his hat, unwound his scarf, and returned to the naked girl.

If Ruby could move, she would have hugged her. As it was, all she could do was let Sarah wrap the scarf around her, and clutch the hat to her chest.

"Well, I've got stuff to do," the Doctor shrugged. "Why don't you keep Ruby company, Sarah? See if you can find out where she's from."

The brunette immediately switched to her journalist persona. Sitting down, she kicked off her shoes, letting her bare feet swing, and pulled out a notebook.

"So, where are you from, Ruby? I'm guessing from the far future, when humans have shed clothing as a convention?"

"No! I'm from the 21st century! I love wearing clothes, the TARDIS stole mine!"

"Well I've known the TARDIS to pull a prank or two, but never anything as **** as that!"

The two women shared their respective adventures with the Doctor, and before long were speculating reasons for Ruby's random appearances. Despite all of Sarah's counter arguments, the blonde girl was firmly sticking to her theory that the TARDIS was determined to humiliate her, and expose her to as many versions of the Doctor as it could.

Just as Ruby was getting used to wearing clothes again, she felt them slip through her hands.

"No!" she cried, as the garments lay uselessly around her bare feet.

"I think you're going now!" Sarah said. "I'll write about you!"

"Please don't!" Ruby pleaded; the last thing she wanted was this whole ordeal immortalised!

Ruby shielded her eyes as the console room was again replaced by blinding light.

The next time she was able, Ruby saw a pair of large eyes staring back at her.
