An epiphany

Something strange was happening to Kate, she was becoming less and less sure of herself. It was the slaves, their positive attitude and confidence was rubbing off on her. And she couldn’t help but think about how happy everyone was, how the wars stopped and how much better the world was.

Entering the headquarters of Sexcorp she had entered under the guise of getting an enhancement and had been sent up to a room. Entering it she was alone giving her the perfect opportunity to unlock the secrets of the Sexcorp. It didn’t take long to find out, she knew about the infected water supply, but she was also able to find out that enhancements would permanently make someone enslaved to the Master, as would another device called an Fantasy Implementation Machine, like she had found on Themiscyria. Apparently they could implant certain thoughts and desires as people slept. The Justice League didn’t know about those, she’d have to inform Huntress.

“You’re not actually Master’s **** are you? Oh your poor thing” came a voice from behind her, turning around sharply she saw that her nurse had arrived dressed in what would have been in a bathing suit before Master took charge.

Kate immediately assumed a fighting stance but the woman held her hands in the air in surrender.

“Please I don’t want to fight, I just want to talk to you” she said, causing Kate to laugh.

“You think you can justify this?” she laughed causing her nurse to give her only a pitiful look.

“Yes look at what Master has given us, in the old world we were primitives. All across the world the technology of those who attacked us was suppressed, and every other week the world would be at the mercy of some super villain, but Master changed that” she explained causing Kate to consider her. She was right, the world the Master had created was much more technologically powerful, wars had stopped and most Supervillains were on the run.

“And more than that it isn’t fear that he rules with but love. There are no wars anymore, no conflict and no disease soon. This is better for everyone” the nurse explains. And she was correct, the only group that was fighting anyone any more was... the Justice League.

“Everyone’s happy why not accept that Batwoman?” she asked causing Kate to have an thought. Everyone in the world was happy, and at peace. All prejudice and discrimination had ended and if Master had succeeded it would be gone entirely. And she had had her own issues with discrimination.

“You’re right, I have no idea why I’m saying this but your right, do it to me before I change my mind” she demands preparing herself on the enchantment unit and still surprised by her own words.

“Thank you, I promise you won’t regret this” she said turning the machine on and Kate could feel herself change.
