An argument.

Linda dropped the two siblings off at home and returned the new prototype to the office.

“Samantha... what the hell happened?” Albert asked.

His sister just stood there.

“Answer me, damn it.” Albert said “Samantha... I want to help you.”

“I... Gloria Ward made fun of me... for dad and mom being dead... I pointed out her mother was in prison. She took a swing at me. I broke her nose...”

Albert sighed “go upstairs and think about what happened.”

“No.” Samantha said.

“Young lady, that was not a suggestion.” Albert said.

“You are not my father... you don’t get to tell me what to do.”

“I’m your legal guardian.” Albert said “if I want to punish you I can, now go to your room.”

“Make me.”

Albert walked up to his sister. “Now...”

Samantha responded by smacking him across the face, quite hard. He fell back, landing on the floor.

“Shut the fuck up.” She screamed “I’m a woman... I’m not a child.”

Samantha then ran out the door.

Albert got himself back on the feet and called ahead to Linda’s job to tell them to have her call when she got there.
