An Update At The End of Chapter Two

If you've been reading along so far I just wanted to say thank you for all of the interest and the likes and the views! I hope you've been enjoying what you've been reading and I hope you're as excited as I am to see what happens next!

But since we're just over a month in and the first two chapters are done, I figured now was a good time to take a moment to reflect a bit on what's been published so far, talk about the little break that I'm taking, and give a bit of insight into general plans going forward.

Apologies, this might be a bit of a ramble, and once more just like all updates in this thread of the story it's not going to be necessary at all to read if you're only interested in the story. Also there will be no spoilers.

Beginning with what's been written so far. I think it's been good and I think the reaction has been pretty positive. It has been slow paced, with 30 some pages down and nothing quite steamy yet. If anyone is wondering when the sexy scenes are going to start, I wanted to reassure you that I am pretty sure there will be some interesting scenes to come in this coming chapter, so you've got that to look forward to.

That said, I still think I'm going to stick with the original plan which is to make this a slow paced story that is as realistic a representation of what an individual would do in this very unusual situation. It'll take some time for our protagonist, Emily, to have her walls broken down to the point where she is comfortable enough with her sexuality and her new body to begin exploring her options properly. There will be sexy scenes soon and there will likely be encounters with individuals, but she's not going to go jumping into anyone's bed until she starts to accept her new reality a little more. I've got a plan to kind of balance plot with action, so to speak, and if you feel the pace is going too slow or even going just right I'd strongly encourage you to let me know via comments.

Comments, both positive and negative, will really help me to make sure that the story is on the right track.

But as of right now, at the end of Chapter Two, we're kind of looking at most of the major players, in the beginning of the story at least, as introduced. Going forward we're going to learn more about all of them, meet a few more new faces, and start to learn how Emily really feels about her new body, her new life, and her second chance.

As far as the break goes, I'm taking a few days to get everything prepped for Chapter Three. Chapter Three is going to be substantially longer, I'm guessing it will probably extend past December and into January as far as publishing goes. All/Most Chapters from this point on will probably be longer than they've been so far, with far more actual stuff happening in them rather than just reflection, establishing, and a lot of inner monologue.

The story so far has felt a bit like stretching my legs and feeling out who Emily is as a person and an individual, and I think it was probably necessary to be able to kind of feel how she would react to things and what choices she would make. But I think I've got a good handle on her now, so we should be seeing a bit more forward momentum in the plot from this point on.

Thinking of the future I can see the plot start speeding up and while we're still not going to get anywhere in a hurry, that means as well that we're probably not going to rush through anything. Whether it be setting the scene or an actual steamy encounter, I'm going to try to take my time and take as many pages as necessary to paint the picture I feel needs to be painted.

That was a bit of an aside... Back to talking about the break.

Breaks will be infrequent and probably not lengthy. The plan is for almost all of them to happen between chapters, though sometimes life and such will get in the way and necessitate a break. The plan is to give notice in the same way I have right now, through a bolded update in the main story, and to always give a date that I'll be back. I guess what I'm trying to say is you probably won't necessarily get advance notice of a break, but If things go according to plan you'll at least know when I'll be back with the next page.

And I'll say right now that I'll probably be taking a break around the holidays later this month, but more on that when we're closer to.

Anyways, I think that's about all that I've got at this point. Once again I want to say that comments are greatly encouraged and other than that just keep on reading and hopefully enjoying the story.
