As they walked down the entrance hall, several undead knights approached. "...why are they all staring at me?" Aqua asked nervously, even though there were no current signs of hostility from them.

"...might be your holy aura attracting them, and only them waiting to be attacked or to be given the order to attack is holding them back?" Kazuma posited quietly. They reached the audience chamber, where the Dullahan was looking down on them from a balcony.

"Adventurers!" the Dullahan called down to them, and Kazuma was certain that he heard excitement in the Dullahan's tone. "I bid thee welcome, and applaud your courage! But in order to face me, you must first reach me! Defeat my undead soldiers, and make your way to the top level, where I shall await yo-"

"Actually, if I might interject?" Kazuma shouted up at the Dullahan, who stumbled in surprise, having just been about to turn away dramatically to head to the top level.

"Oi, oi, don't interrupt me when I'm giving my challenge!" the Dullahan comically protested, holding up his sweat dropping head. "I spent five hours practicing it!"

"Actually, we didn't come here to challenge you," Kazuma continued.

"...you... You're not... What!?" the Dullahan asked, clearly thrown for a loop. "Then... Why are you here? Wait..." he trailed off, before turning his head in his hands to look right at Megumin. "... you're here to blow up my castle again, aren't you!?" he accused.

"Ye-"Megumin started to say.

"No!" Kazuma shouted, smacking Megumin upside the head, cutting her off. "We actually want to ask a favor! Maybe work something out with you! Basically, we just want to talk!"

The Dullahan stared at Kazuma, or at least Kazuma assumed so, hard to tell with the shadows of that helmet. Then, surprisingly he burst out laughing. "Wahahaha! Oh by the Devil King, the sheer audacity! I must say, this... This is new! And I must admit, I am not opposed to the idea of discourse! Very well, you all wait there! Soldiers! Prepare a banquet for my guests! ...and make sure you wear the gloves this time, they're living, and I am not going to feed them rotting flesh!"

"...is he... Serious?" Cremea asked. "A banquet? Is he going to poison us?"

"First, I highly doubt he's the type to do that," Kazuma retorted. "Second, if he wanted us dead, he wouldn't need a trick to do so. And third, I'm not going to say no to a free meal."

"Of course you're not, even from the enemy," Aqua grumbled. "I still say we should purify him and be done with it..."
