Akiko and appetite

Klaudia walked in with a smile, "Good Morning Andy, how are you feeling today?"

Andrew thought about it quickly and gave an honest answer, "Feeling a lot better than last week, energy level is up and I'm feeling healthier than ever before in my life." Taking a deep breath, he continued on, "I'm still having some discordance with my tastes, foods and drinks I used to prefer don't seem to taste the same and my desire for foods I wasn't a huge fan of have increased. While I tried to eat well, I was never a so-called healthy eater yet no I'm asking for salads, baked or grilled foods over anything fried. It's disconcerting to feel like I'm not myself when it comes to taste and makes me wonder what else may come down the line."

"Well, I have some new for you, both about the taste issue and about your sister Akiko. Let's cover the medical side first. There's nothing actually wrong about your sense of taste, just the body's influence and the passive portions of the brain as your identity settles in. We expected your identity to assert itself on the transfer and that has gone as expected. However, the muscle memory and motor control you have over the body is a result of portions of the brain that have nothing to do with identity. That portion of the brain and what we transferred from you are merging thus causing your new taste buds to assert the bodies tastes on you. This was one of the theoretical side effects that we included in the information we provided you prior to the surgery. What that means going forward is that while you will have to make some adjustments to the new body, it's muscle memory may also assist you in picking up some of the skills she possessed as well. We'll do some testing in this regard going forward."

Andy sighed, "I didn't exactly get the time to read the entire brief before my illness progress rapidly. I'll have to figure out how I'm going to handle that and any other revelations going forward. Is there anything else that I should expect in the short term?"

Klaudia smiled in a way the seemed more nervous than friendly, "Well, as you were still recovering for the last one, we should probably get you a gynecologist visit and some instructions on how to deal with your period and birth control options."

Andrew's face fell, all color drained from his features turning pale enough to give snow white a run for her money, "Birth Control?!?!? Why, it's not like I'm attracted to men. This body may be female but I'm a heterosexual male in here. At worst I'm going to be a lesbian coming out of this," Andrew stated defiantly.

Klaudia keep the nervous smile, "That may not hold up as you think considering the changing tastes brought on by the body. That is not to say it will happen but something you should be prepared for. We have no idea what Kayleigh's orientation was before she became your doner and I just want you to be prepared for any possibility. Nothing I am bringing up is definitely going to happen, but you should be prepared and not blind-sided but it," she explained.

Andrew scowled, "any more bad news or is that it?" He felt and showed such a defeated look which is something he hadn't once shown since this all started.

Klaudia spoke again, "It not all bad news today, even the information I just provided is simple a warning of what may be possible to allow you to prepare. Now, on the more positive side is that Akiko will be arriving in town this evening and coming by to see you early in the day tomorrow. Also, you are making remarkable progress with the physical therapy and shouldn't need to remain here at the facility too much longer. That does mean you'll need to contact your lawyer to finalize the required paperwork for your new name. That being said, how would you like to head out of the facility with Akiko, a couple of nurses and myself so you can start adjusting to being a woman in public and social situations tomorrow?"
