You agree that this is the best compromise. Alisa brings with her the maid who fetched you when Gill'Gem was born. She helped her raise her children. You have regular visits from King David but Alisa always makes some excuse not to be around when he is visiting. You hope they will mend their relationship some time. He plays chess with you and you let him know the affairs for Candlstone and any problems that need the king to resolve.

The Citizens of Candlstone became very happy having their Lord and Queen be more reachable and Candlestone became the unofficial capital dividing focus from the main capital.

Things take a turn for the worse about a year later when Alisa reveals to you that David has not let her visit or even see their Son who he has been raising at his castle. You bring this up at your next meeting with the king. He acts very defensively around you. Ranting that your popularity is drawing power from himself and by keeping Alisa away from their son Edward keeps your evil draconic influence away from him as well. You will not be called Evil to your face and kick the king out of your castle.

After this incident, you hear word that the king has placed large bounties on any dragons other than your self found within his kingdom. Three members of the Green clutch and 5 of the nearby blue clutch are killed before the dragons declare your lands unsafe. The King also raises the taxes on candles claiming that providing light outside of the natural daylight is a luxury that should be reserved for the higher classes of society. He also claims that the peasantry work better if they match their waking and sleeping times to the setting of the sun like the animals they need to tend to. This tax is in effect across the whole kingdom bit is clearly made to spite the people of Candlestone for being loyal to you.
