Tevos gasped as she saw Matriarch Aethyta as she entered the room. “M-matriarch,” Tevos said in surprise. “W-why? I mean…”

“On your knees,” Aethyta commanded.

Tevos fell to her knees intimidated by the asari’s own presence. “P-please, mistress,” Tevos said.

“You’ve been quite naughty,” Aethyta said. “You nearly cost me my daughter’s life.”

“I did not!” Tevos cried.

“Shut up! Yes you did. You knew about the beacon. You knew and you hid it!” Aethyta yelled.

“I don’t care,” Aethyta said. “Your negligence cost us my own bondmate too.”

“You allowed Saren to manipulate her. Because you wanted to act like he didn’t do anything, and not only that but then you denied the very Reaper that caused it all,” Aethyta said.

Tevos gulped. “Please… I didn’t…”

“Yes you did,” Aethyta said. “And worst of all you cost me my daughter-in-law’s life. Twice.”

“Now you need to be punished. For everything,” Aethyta said. “So you’re going to be under my command for 100 years. Barely a dent in your life. But it’s what Aria talked me down to.”
