Adventure

I woke feeling energized, and ready for the day. Remembering my tasks for the day I quickly got dressed and made my way downstairs to the Inn lobby.

A few groggy early risers were scattered around, and Nadia behind the counter. Noticing me coming down the stairs Nadia waved me over.

“Good Morning Thomas” Nadia said, confusing me for a second until I remembered that was the fake name I gave her the night before.

“Morning Nadia” I reply. “Early Morning”?

“Always is sweetie, that’s your guy down there by the way” Nadia said gesturing to a large man dressed like a militia member, sitting at the far end of the table, eating breakfast food by himself.

“Don’t be intimidated by his size Varlow is as nice as they come, he stops by every morning before his guard shift, he’ll take you to the witches lair”.

“Thank You” I say as I gift her a few gold coins.

“Don’t be a stranger” Nadia says cheerfully accepting the tip.

“We’ll see” I reply with a wink making my way too Varlow.

It would have been nice to take Nadia but unwise. May and Anna were one thing, the village people probably won’t notice the family missing for at least a few days. Of which we will be long gone. But having the innkeeper suddenly disappear and abandon her place of business is bound to bring all sorts of trouble. Especially with the demon hunter still close by.

“Good Morning” I say to Varlow, who looks up at me curiously.

“I heard that you burnt a witch”.
