Add it to her cover letter?

Monica sighed, feeling she had **** but to explain her graduation mishap in her cover letter. Not knowing of Steve or Dean Blackburn's part in it, she reluctantly put the following paragraph in her cover letters:

"I have even suffered hardship during my short career. It is tradition at the school paper for the editor in chief to go nude under their gown for graduation. I followed that tradition, and my gown and cap unfortunately came undone during the graduation, resulting in great embarrassment I had to overcome."
