About today's plan

You still feel mired in uncertainty and want some idea of what to expect.

"So... what's the plan today?"

She looked up at you and grinned.

"For most of my plans you need to be able to go out in public. You're most of the way there, by the way who taught you how to do makeup so well?"

You blushed, you had practiced regularly with techniques you had found on the forums to hide your, few, masculine features.

"You are lacking a bit in some areas"

She groped your flat chest for emphasis and you realize it's the first time she's touched you since you got back.

"I think we should visit the lab before we do anything else, we still own it right?"

"Yeah, Johnson and Modfizer Lilly only bought the protocol, they didn't need our little startup lab so we still own it. It's not a very expensive property, I was planning on keeping it as a hobby space."

"God you're such a nerd, become a multi-billionaire and your first toy is a research laboratory."

She says grinning, you both knew she was every bit the nerd you were and would have been furious if you had disposed of her side projects.

"Anyways, I think we'll swing by there and make some changes."

She was describing advanced genetic editing as if it were a lazy weekend errand. Really though the therapy could be surprisingly rapid. Test subjects after going through it frequently described the process as anti-climactic. They walked in with cancer, were given a pair of shots and then stood in the laser chamber for a few minutes before walking out cancer free.

The two of you finished up lunch and it was time to go. It felt extremely strange to step into the car in a dress the flats Alice insisted you wear. You'd never been so bold as to go outside dressed up, especially not during daylight. Usually you drive but Alice is insistent that you take the passengers seat today. As she pulls out of the garage into the suburban landscape you feel like she's taken one extra aspect of control away from you. You were at her mercy now, she could take you somewhere in public and leave you to fend for yourself. But you trusted her and it felt good to just surrender control. You had spent so long suffocated by the demands of leading a small and dynamic company, letting someone else take the wheel was incredibly cathartic.
