Abigail, a Photogropher going through a divorce

Abigail Newman, a 26 year old freelance photographer, had spent the day meeting with Dan Toy, her School sweetheart and now Ex Husband, to discuss some final measures for their separation, that being who will get the house and who has legal ownership of the items inside they both had spent time procuring over their long 12 years together.

Such items includes glass figures of various animals, which Abigail had a fondness for collecting, and old vinyl records, which Dan had spent years hunting for. The pair had both spent time and money adding to their various collections and their home was always met with compliments from any guests they had over given the variety of the decor featured throughout.

Most of the rooms in the house had the walls decorated with Abigail's most prized photographs, from nature photos of gorgeous landscapes and animals, to those taken with models of varying levels of fame. Shelves were installed across the top of the walls, from one end to the other. The various glass sculptures Abigail loved so much being exhibited above her photography, while other items, such as memorabilia from the couples long time together would fill the spaces in-between. It was difficult to make the mix of glass sculptures and old ticket stubs and airport ticket look aesthetically pleasing on those shelves, luckily her designer friend May was able to work some real magic.

The house itself was anyone's dream home, provided they did not already come from a rich family. It was three stories in height, with 4 bathrooms and an immaculate living space able to host over a dozen guests without it feeling crowded. The property was a difficult battle for the couple to acquire, as they were competing against much wealthier families who were able to offer more than they could even hope to.

Luckily, with Abigail's rising success as a photographer, with her work being features in many magazines, newspapers and websites, and Dan's successful launch of a series of Novels, the Realtor in charge of the property grew starstruck just by being around them and was more than happy to pull a few strings to give them such a wonderful place to live.

The relationship between Abigail and Dan fell apart about a year ago when the affair she had been having eventually was found out. Dan was understandingly furious with her, but despite that they spent months trying to fix their relationship until Abigail found Dan in bed with two women when she arrived home early from a photoshoot. This drove them both to come to the hard decision to end their marriage, which brings us to today, where the Divorce papers have been signed, and the two were ready to go their separate ways.

A small issue came to light when both arrived back home, them both believing that they were now the sole owner of the property. A small error in their divorce became prevalent, which somehow worked its way past all of those involved in the divorce case which meant that the legal ownership of their property and personal items had not been decided.

Despite this ridiculous error, the courts refused to resume the case to solve who owned the house, instead only offering to open a new case if the two would both pay a large sum of money in court fees, a sum they both were unable to pay after paying for the court fees in the divorce itself.

As a compromise they chose to each stay in one of the nearby hotels until they were able to decide who would live in the house moving forward, though how they would choose who would ultimately be the owner was not yet decided.
