Abandon the knife

To avoid being too predictable and ****, you decide to make a break for across the room, to hopefully find something else to aid you. The chief is fast, only a step or two behind you, and your eyes scan the ground for an object to find to defend yourself with. Just a few steps ahead you spy a silver candelabra. Better than nothing I guess.

You make a dive for the candelabra, and quickly turn to defend yourself with it. As soon as you turn you see the machete already descending towards you. Fortunately you manage to raise the candelabra in time, catching the blade in it's arms. With it you wrench the blade away from you, but surprisingly the **** of that causes the blade to snap in half. The chief is clearly stunned by this development but you waste no time in pressing this advantage, bashing the chief in the head with your makeshift weapon. As he stumbles back, you do it again and then make a break back for the knife. When you return with it the chief is still dazed, grasping for what remains of his blade. Before he can regain himself you stab through his neck, finishing the fight. The goblins spectating through the portcullis shrink back at the sight of their dead leader and begin to flee away from the hut. You can feel a surge of power flow through your body as your inventory opens automatically.

Of course you shouldn't have hoped for any combat skills, but this was ridiculous. You pick up your arm off the floor and inspect it's pink side.

"I wonder..." You bring the arm to where it came off of, and watch as the two halves seamlessly merge back together. "Well that definitely makes things easier."

You look around the room for anything worth taking, but find nothing but pillaged silverware, more platters, and some silver goblets. However once you check the sack that the chief pulled the machete out of, you find a small wooden shield. Once put on it only reaches about halfway up your forearm, but it's better than no protection at all. You also discover a door behind the chief's wooden throne, and continue through it.
