Chapter 3 by fyreant fyreant

What's next?

A young female technomancer falling into a dirty lifestyle

Rather than a mission-based techno-thriller fantasy this will instead take a lower-power character with lower stakes, who is mostly just trying to survive in the dystopian setting. Using the variant rules we'll make a character who is not nearly capable of being a true 'shadowrunner', although they do have some special skills. To explore one of the rarer character builds, we will make a technomancer (in this case, considering the kind of story this is, more like a 'thot-nomancer')

Has done all the basic things (blowjob, fucking, creampie, anal, threesome) except for paizuri, which she's not well-endowed enough for, but nothing really kinky yet (at least not in the real world). Unlike many humans in the CAS who are highly prejudiced against metahumans (especially orks and trolls), Montana is open-minded towards all metatypes. So far she's only had sex with boys around her own age in the real world, but she's interested in broadening her horizons there, too.

Combat experience: Limited cybercombat experience, none physical (except AR shooter games). Has never been in a fight.

Montana is one of many orphans who lost their parents in the 2064 crash. But that isn't the only way that event changed her life. As a high-powered corporate suit in Shiawase Atomics corporation, Montana's father wanted to be sure his daughter was ready for the jobs of the future, so she was given supervised-but-unfettered access to the 'Matrix', the virtual-reality information network tying the world together. It was the young girl's obsession with using it that ended up saving her life; she played sick as an excuse to stay home and go to another VR theme park while her parents were out at dinner, right when the 'Winternight' virus struck and tore the old matrix down one night in 2064, leading to their deaths in a massive freeway pileup as every self-driving car in the world went haywire all at once.

Normally, the company would take care of its own. But all records of the young orphan girl's family working for Shiawase were wiped, and the back-up files were never found (or perhaps, some corporate exec decided it'd be more convenient for their bottom line if they didn't have to pay **** benefits and made sure those records stayed lost). The local shopkeeper who took Montana in 'for safe keeping' when she came wandering in in the chaos of the post-crash weeks and months ended up having to hold onto her for the long term.

It could've been worse. Compared to many kids who fall through the cracks, Montana was very lucky. But her new family were dwarves, and, as a human, she never quite fit in with them. Things were strained enough before, five years after the crash, the now-teenage Montana started exhibiting strange abilities. After having stayed away from the matrix for many years after the trauma of whatever happened while she was in there (which had left her mute and nigh-catatonic for weeks) she started using it again... at first gradually, and then excessively. Seeing it was distracting her from her studies and responsibilities, she was repeatedly 'grounded' from matrix access... and her foster father and mother kept wondering how she was still managing to access accounts and online subscriptions without any 'trodes or even a commlink. In frustration they ended up putting up signal jammers in her room, and were unsympathetic when she whined it was causing her physical pain. When she ran away, it was the police that found her - after she'd hijacked an autocab, make falsified purchases at stores, and been renting a motel room for weeks. Coincidentally, this was mere days before the existence of "Technomancers", a new type of savant with the miraculous ability to interface directly with the matrix without any technological equipment, became known.

That only made things worse, as the newly-revealed technomancers went on a retaliatory spree of cyber-terrorism against the corporations that were persecuting them. The family had to move multiple times - every time Montana's powers were noticed by someone, Luci and Trevor (the dwarves) had to move to a new city and find new jobs.

Eventually, after one too many "Look what you're doing to your mother"s from them, and one too many "You're not my real dad" from her, Montana walked out. She rented a loft apartment and finished her last year of high school living on her own. The socially conservative upbringing of her parents backfired, and over the past half-year, Montana has become quite the 'popular new girl' at her school... especially among the boys. She thought she could use her abilities to make sure not to get into trouble over her serial-dating escapades. She used conjured 'sprites', self-aware AI-like entities made of pure matrix resonance, to monitor the devices of boys she'd hooked up with to make sure they didn't spread it around. Unfortunately, she couldn't stop a rumor spreading to the wrong ears through the old-fashioned method of face to face conversation, and, at their absolute wits end, her long-suffering foster parents stopped paying the bills for her rented room and sent an ultimatum that she could either come back under their roof and straighten up, or never to come asking them for anything ever again.

Needless to say, she chose the latter, and since Montana had turned 18 by then, there wasn't anything Luci and Trevor could do. To make a point of burning her bridges, she paid a hundred credits to legally change her last name back to that of her deceased birth parents.

Montana Huang has an impressive amount of skill and power in the electronic world of the matrix. But that's about it. Aside from the armored clothing that her parents bought her due to rumors about technomancer-hunting capture squads from the Mitsuhama corporation (and **** squads from the Renraku corporation), she is alone and defenseless in the mean streets of the real world. She has a credstick with 10 nuyen on it, about enough for a super-size combo meal of mycoprotein hamburgers and deep-fried nutrisoy fries at BucketBurger.

Said mean streets that she finds herself in are in Atlanta, the captial city of the Confederate American States. A major international mega-city, just like other famous cities such as Seattle, Berlin, New York and London, Atlanta has significant populations from all over the world living in it. Unfortunately, it also shares their rampant crime, urban anarchy, and stark divide between rich, middle-class and poor neighborhoods.

Appearance-wise, Montana is a petite girl of average height. In both the butt department and the chest department, she could best be described as 'small but nicely-shaped'. Really, the only reason her bosom is considered 'small' is because cyber- and biotech breast augmentations have become so common. Due to being a technomancer, augmentations of any kind aren't an option for Montana - just like magicians, artificial implants in a technomancer's body will mess up their abilities. Despite her modest curves, 'Tana is considered a very attractive young woman. She gets lots of interested suitors, but her sex life is somewhat hampered by the fact that her SIN profile lists her as being a technomancer. On more than a couple of occasions she's been chased out of the house by her latest boyfriend's angry parents and told to stay away from him. To her dismay, Montana has discovered that, unlike the pornographic trideos online, offering to make it a threesome with the dad tends to not work.

In personality, Montana is neither particularly feminine or un-feminine. She's brusque, cynical, mischievous, and flirty. She is particularly in her element online, especially among the hosts frequented by young delinquents. For the better part of the last year, she has been in an escalating online prank war with her so-called "best frenemy", a young female dwarf decker (non-technomancer computer hacker) in the area calling herself "MittenzDaKitten". This may seem like a small thing, but it really isn't; among deckers in the 'prank warrior' lifestyle like Mittenz, pretty much anything short of earnestly attempted **** is fair game as a 'prank'.
