A week of pills later (by Vanilla Thunder)

A week later, things were going great for Jamie! The job was going well, Mr. White was a great boss, Jamie had even made a few friends with the other assistants, living with Linda was great, and Jamie had been feeling much better ever since he started taking the pills the doctor prescribed. That and whatever was in that pill that Linda's friend June had given him. Which reminded Jamie, June was dropping by today to check in on his progress after the first week.

Jamie stretched his arms out as he woke up. He finally felt normal again, sort-of, even if it had just been a week. The phone buzzed and Jamie picked it up, a text from Natalie, asking if he wanted to hit the mall with her.

Jamie glanced over at the box of Linda's clothes and texted back that he'd love to, gotta pick up some new clothes for himself. Can't live off of Linda's kindness forever! He got up out of bed, and remembered that he had forgotten to wash those exercise pants, and he didn't want to sleep in his underwear, so he had checked the box and found a nightgown to sleep in. He reasoned that it was no different than the red dress hanging up in his closet, so he wore it to bed.

As he brushed his teeth, he mused that, "I've got to try to track down this woman again. None of the leads have led to her, and I've gotta get this phone back to her so I can have mine back!"

He spit into the sink and headed out into the kitchen to get something to eat.
