Mark dropped by

Jamie headed to the kitchen and was surprised to see Mark sitting with Linda at the table. A smile spread wide on his handsome face as Mark watched Jamie enter.

“Mark, hi. It's good to see you. What are you doing here?” Jamie's own smile rivaled Mark's.

Mark stood and took a step toward Jamie, “I was in the area and thought I'd drop by and say hello.”

Linda smirked seeing the two of them interact and got up as well. She moved passed Mark and Jamie and grabbed her purse, slinging it over her shoulder.

“Well, I think I'll leave you kids alone. June will be here soon so don't you two get too distracted,” Linda waved and left the apartment.

“Sorry about her,” Mark shrugged, embarrassed by his sister's comment.

“Don't be.”

They stood in silence for a short moment while Jamie started to notice that Mark wanted to say something.

“So...uh...I haven't heard from you. Is everything alright?” Mark cautiously mentioned.

“Oh, sorry. I've been really busy with the new job and everything.”

“It's okay, I know you've got a lot on your plate right now. I didn't know if...uh, I just thought that maybe...If you'd like maybe we could...do...something” Mark's face dropped as he felt himself fumble around.

“Are you asking me out?” Jamie giggled, striking a **** feminine pose.

Mark placed his hand to his temple, feeling silly for being as bashful as he was.

“I'd love to. I'll be free tonight if that's not too soon,” Jamie told him.

“Oh! Tonight's works for me. I'll pick you up at six?” Mark asked excitedly making his way to the door.

“I look forward to it.”
