A university lecture

After what felt like an eternity of ****, River at last felt a reprieve from her clumsy antics. The pain from the rake onslaught had subsided in an instant, as if it had never happened, perhaps the only benefit of River’s now fictional status.

River turned to see Barbarella escape through a door, River angrily pursued. She burst through only to find herself within a lecture hall, one that she recognised from her studies at the Luna university.

“Ah, River Song makes a rare appearance,” Professor Bernice Summerfield sardonically remarked. “And she didn’t feel bothered to wear anything sensible. I wish I were surprised.” The Professor motioned to the board. “In any case, I don't expect you to answer these questions. Your attendance is poor enough as is. Instead, I'll have to assign you a more practical task. Come over here.”

Barbarella watched on in the back row as River was drawn into the fantasy scenario, still naked, but unseen by everyone in the lecture hall. She decided to make one last edit to River’s character.

River was overcome with overwhelming, near paralysing shame at her own nakedness.

“Eeep!” River slapped her hands to cover her breasts and crotch, uncharacteristically embarrassed at being seen naked by her classmates.

“Too late to get squeamish River!” Summerfield grabbed River by the ear and dragged her into the centre of the hall. “Now, to demonstrate the care we must take in handling artefacts, you must juggle these ancient fossils for a full 5 minutes. If you drop any of them, then you are to run around the hall while the class gives you a slap on the bottom, and go back to juggling until you reach the time limit. Clear?”

River nodded, now fully immersed in the fictional narrative she had been placed in.

Damnit! She’d missed one!

“Well, what are you waiting for?” Summerfield sent River running across the room with a smack on her bum.

Barbarella chuckled as she watched River run around the hall. She would have a very red bottom by the end of this.
