A strange woman and girl

As Isabel stepped closer to one of the isolated areas of the store. She noticed a woman talking to another girl very strangely. The girl at first seemed to be appearing young almost like a toddler, but as Isabel looked closer, she could see that the girl was taller and definitely seemed to be older. “Mommy, can I get a teddy bear?” the girl whispered speaking in a lisp.

Isabel paused as she gazed at the two the woman was definitely older than the girl but there was something odd about the two that didn’t quite line up to be a mother and daughter. “Only if you behave, Nicky.”

The girl seemed to pout at this, but gave up as the woman pulled her along. Isabel continued to follow behind the two watching them as they turned down an aisle. Isabel’s eyes widened as the aisle they turned down wasn’t just any aisle… it was the diaper aisle. Isabel raised an eyebrow. The girl definitely wasn’t young enough to still need diapers. “Hey, Stella, there’s a woman following us,” Nicky whispered.

Too late to realize Nicky was referring to her, the two turned to see Isabel standing there awkwardly. “Can I help you?” The woman asked, gazing at Isabel who gulped as she blushed being caught stalking these two women.

“S-sorry… I uh… I wasn’t… I j-just…”

“Oh do you need these?” Stella asked as she gestured to the diapers. “Don’t be shy, we won’t judge.”

Isabel’s eyes widened. She either had to admit she was stalking…. or pretend she needed diapers and she needed to act quickly.
