A strange book

A weird purple book just smashed the window "what the heck" Jane yelps, before walking towards the book. Planning to chuck it back out at whoever launched it into her apartment.

As her hand reaches down, Jane doesn't notice the books cover was pulsating with a very dim light, and almost slime like pattern rippling through the color. Her hand touches the book, and suddenly flashes brightly "ah" Jane yelps, and falls unconscious.
