By a wide, wide margin. She forces herself to keep her hands at her sides as she walks steadily along the pathway towards her first lecture.

Even if she can't help but feel deep shame at how she looks, the least she can do is hide it deep down inside her, and give off the impression to others that she's unfazed and proud. The strong, confident Amy Barnes can continue to exist in public, even if it's now largely just an act...
