A ring of stones

Trying to ignore his discomfort at his lack of clothes, Kelly continued to run. It felt like he had been running for quite the distance, but now that he was less than a foot tall, he had no idea if it was enough to escape Lazaro.

He threw a glance over his shoulder. There was no towering spellcaster on his tail. Maybe now he could stop and catch his-

Kelly tripped over something hard, tumbling into a roll until slowly coming to a stop in a section of the garden with high grass, large colorful mushrooms, and a small number of trees.

Kelly groaned, rubbing his leg as he looked back to what he’d fallen over. A ring of smooth white stones seemed to be following the outside of a stretch of this area.

“How…strange.”

Kelly turned back around and discovered a far stranger sight. Where there had definitely not been before were several small houses, tiny ones that we’re far too small to be used by anyone of a normal size.

But for Kelly, they were perfect. The perfect place to hide for now, at least. Glancing around to ensure nobody saw him, he hurried to the closest one. The purple one tucked atop a large mushroom.

He was surprised to find furnishings inside, a table of twigs and grass blades, a bed of straw, a wooden closet, even a tiny bathtub made from a shell of some kind.

“Is…is this a house?”

Bewildered, Kelly opened the closet. Clothes indeed lined its interior. Various dresses that appeared to be made from various materials, like one of pink flower petals, one from carefully dried leaves, and another made from what seemed to be a scrap of fabric.

Kelly’s mouth fell open.

“…A tiny home…with tiny clothes…inside a ring of stones? That-that sounds a lot like…fairies?”

“Yes, I’m a fairy, what about it?”

A sudden voice from behind caused Kelly to freeze.

“How about you tell me what you’re doing in my house, and why you’re not wearing anything to boot?”
