Chapter 126 by landmaster1234
How does the planning go?
A pretty solid plan
After a nap to recover all of her strength, Hermione's plan was set. Her breasts, small as they were, bounced around her dormitory as she searched high and low for anything important that she wanted to make sure to keep safe in her beaded bag. The few clothes she had left, homework books, and so on. She didn't pack everything, of course. Some scraps of parchment, quills, and ink bottles would still remain in the room.
Satisfied, she then put her wand inside her bag. The last piece of information she'd need is to know when and where the Slytherins would want to meet for the Polyjuice Potion. She breathed a sigh of relief as she looked at the clock. It was about time to head to dinner.
Leaving the bag on her bed, she made her way down to the Great Hall, the Slytherins already there, eating their roast beef. After she sat at the table, she decided to bring up the subject herself.
"So... When did you want to do the Polyjuice Potion?" She asked tentatively.
Pansy paused, her fork in midair. Hermione felt nervous. Had she seemed too eager to know?
Evidently, Pansy didn't give that too much of a thought. "Noon. Tomorrow. We'll be meeting here in the Entrance Hall."
"Oh... Alright." Hermione tried to sound disappointed, as if she was hoping they'd be drinking it elsewhere. It might throw them off her trail. She began to use occlumency to ensure Daphne couldn't see that this was a good plan in her books.
"You've drunk Polyjuice potion before, mudblood," Millicent asked, sounding curious. "What does it feel like?"
"Well..." Hermione began. It was true that she had taken Polyjuice Potion several times, but she felt compelled to answer completely for some unknown reason. "It tastes horrible, firstly. You feel like you're going to be sick..."
She could feel Daphne's eyes on her. Well, if Daphne was hoping to simply get the truth in this area, Hermione would be glad to give it.
"Then you have to be careful about you're wearing. If your shoes are too big or too small, your feet will hurt. Your robes could rip if you're getting bigger, and so on."
"I see..." Pansy said. "Well... I'll have to make sure we have a private area for that, then. I don't want you flaunting my body around just because you have it."
Hermione tried to remain stone-faced and clear-minded. This was great news. Her plan would actually work out.
After dinner, the girls went their separate ways. But as Hermione went up to her dormitory, she stopped at Dumbledore's portrait.
"Professor Dumbledore?"
"Yes, Hermione?" Dumbledore answered kindly.
"I need a place to hide my beaded bag tomorrow, outside the dormitory."
"Really?" Dumbledore asked, surprised. "Do you find that Gryffindor Tower is not safe for it?"
"It won't be tomorrow until 1 o'clock," Hermione pressed on. "Is there a good place around here to hide it?"
"I believe you will find that urn in the corner," Dumbledore pointed towards a large clay urn with golden accents, "will suffice. Might I ask what is wrong?"
"Tomorrow is the Polyjuice Swap, Professor." Hermione answered. "Listen, if you see me run up the stairs without talking to you first, do not talk to me. But if you hear another student mention... Mention what the symbol was in your copy of Tales of Beedle the Bard, you'll tell that student everything they ask about me, alright?"
"Playing the secrets game that I used to, are we?"
"Yes, Professor." Hermione said, earnestly. "I'll explain everything after, I promise."
"Very well... Rest well, Hermione. You'll need it for your final task."
