A makeover is in order

As she was walking across the street, she almost jogged to get in before the shop closed. Unbeknownst to her, this meant that she actually fell out of her shoes, leaving her barefoot as she crossed the road and as cars ran over her shoes left behind on the street.

She jogged in to the salon, and noticed it was empty except for a brown woman in gypsy garb sweeping the floor.

"Hello, hello," said the woman, whom Samantha could only imagine was Carolina, in an accent.

"Hi, am I too late to hop in?" Samantha asked.

"No no," the woman said, "what you want?"

"I was just looking to get my hair dyed a shade of brown - right now it's too black to take a photo of me."

"Ah, hair dye? Da, your hair too black, and your skin too white. I Carolina, I give you makeover," the woman put her broom down and walked to the front of the shop, pulling the blinds down and locking the door before turning to Samantha.

"That won't be necessary," Samantha, "just a little bit of dye to lighten my hair to light brown."

"No no, my pleasure," Carolina put her hands on Samantha's shoulders. Samantha looked up at the woman in front of her, and the two were close enough that Samantha could feel the outsole of Carolina's boots curving up just millimeters from her bare toes. Her toes! What happened to her shoes??

"Won't you guys close before we're done?" Samantha tried one last time to get out of this.

"My store, we already closed except you," Carolina rebuffed the woman. Samantha felt so **** - locked in a store with a woman, the woman almost clamping down on her shoulders, her bare feet almost touching - almost being stepped on by - the woman's leather boots.

"Okay, let's do a makeover," Samantha yielded.

"Very good!" the woman turned Samantha around to face the rest of the shop, "come in back."

Back?! Why weren't the chairs enough? What was in back?
