Chapter 11 by SotF SotF

What does the morning bring?

A lovely breakfast in bed.

Tara grumbled in frustration as she turned away from the light hitting her closed eyes. She had been sleeping so soundly until a moment ago when she rolled over and was blasted by the brilliant, morning rays. On any other day, she probably would have admitted defeat and gotten up. But today she was simply too comfortable. The mattress beneath her was the perfect midpoint between firm and soft, cradling her petite form like a cloud made out of hopes and dreams. And the thick, downy blanket she had cocooned herself in made sure she was pleasantly warm and cozy, even though she didn't have her pajamas on (which normally would have condemned the skinny girl to a night of shivering in all but the hottest weather.) But the biggest factor was that she had been sleeping so well. Like almost everyone, the musician wasn't exactly known far and wide for her good sleep habits. So the thought of having to end her slumber and actually get up was almost too terrible to face.

Tara smiled as she nuzzled the squishy pillow before her. Apparently, sex helped her sleep. She would have to remember that going forward.

Her eyes snapped open. Memories of the night before hit her all at once like a runaway dump truck. There had been so many firsts. Her first time wearing silk. Her first time seeing her hair defused. Her first time wearing a thong. Her first French food. Her first French kiss. Her first time going on a date. Her first slow dance. Her first time being encouraged to perv on another woman. Her first time being teased. Her first time seeing another woman naked in person. Her first time being naked in front of another person. Oh, and her first time having sex.

And now she had her first girlfriend.

Her hands cupped her blushing cheeks, lest the wide smile on her face make them burst. It was such an exciting thought. She had a girlfriend. And not just any girlfriend. She had managed to find an amazing one. Karen was incredibly kind, wondrously compassionate, hilariously playful, fiercely intelligent, and disarmingly charismatic. Also, she was a drop-dead gorgeous superhero and successful CEO. The phrase complete package had never been more justly earned.

But thinking about how amazing her new girlfriend was made Tara realize something. The blonde wasn't here. It struck her as odd. In books and movies (and porn) couples who had sex always woke up together.

Of course, she was probably still around somewhere. So with a great deal of effort, she extricated herself from the blanket burrito she had formed around herself. Forcing her slightly sore muscles (apparently thrashing in wild ecstasy did a number on her) to pull herself into sitting upright. She looked around the room but saw no sign of the Kryptonian powerhouse. But given how blurry the room was it was hard to be sure. The end of the night was a little hard to remember, but she was pretty sure she knew which bedside table her glasses ended upon. She did her best to keep her lower half beneath the blanket as she sidled over. Then she did her best to not feel too frustrated when she realized she guessed wrong. After finally getting her hands on her glasses, and her glasses on her face, she looked around again.

Karen was still not there. Unless she could turn invisible. Tara might need to ask what powers she actually had at some point. Still, it gave the short musician a chance to see the heroine's bedroom in the beautiful, and infuriating, morning light. At the time she hadn't given much thought to the décor of the living room. She remembered a lot of earth tones. Mostly brown, tan, and beige with accents of green and blue. The bedroom though was a lot of greyscale. Never quite reaching white or black, with mostly warm colors like red as accents.

Of course, the royal purple dress and tiny, white thong that had been left on the floor broke the color scheme somewhat.

When the door opened Tara yelped in surprise and yanked the blanket up to her chin. Of course, given that it was Karen coming into the room she felt a little silly covering up like that. Not enough to make her lower the blanket, but silly nonetheless. Her superpowered girlfriend seemed to not have the same instinct. She wasn't technically naked. The robe she was wearing, a thin, white, cottony numbed with a sky-blue trim, was keeping her decent. Well, decentish. It was really short but did go far enough past her hips to cover the blonde muff between the woman's bare legs. But keeping the woman's nethers covered if she sat down, or even walked too fast, was probably a lost cause. Her breasts were covered as much as they would be by any other robe, but the thin material and plunging neckline meant nothing was hidden from view. Her nipples were clearly visible even though they didn't look hard.

It was the type of sight that turned Tara into a drooling pervert. Though the drool may have also been from the two trays of food the blonde was carrying. Apparently, sex also worked up quite the appetite.

"Well good morning to you too," Karen said jovially. "I was going for a nice surprise, but I guess that'll do."

The curvaceous heroine chuckled a bit at that before floating over to the bed. She placed one tray across Tara's legs, the little built-in feet holding it an inch or two of her lap, before settling in next to her girlfriend. Though she did stay on top of the covers with her long, shapely legs stretched in front of her crossed at the ankles.

The menu for today consisted of a plate of diced fruit (apples, strawberries, and some kind of melon), a small bowl of oatmeal with a sprinkling of brown sugar, a glass of water, and a mug of coffee. Also on Tara's tray was a large, orange carrot.

"I didn't know what you liked so I just had to guess," Karen said through a huge grin. The withering look Tara gave her seemed to only prompt giggles.

"Am I overdoing the whole bunny thing?" Karen asked. The only response Tara deemed appropriate was to hold up the offending root vegetable.

"Sorry I just wanted to break the tension a little bit," Karen said more earnestly. "If you want I won't say the 'b' word ever again."

"I don't mind the nickname," Tara explained. And that was true, she found the pet name kind of sweet in its own way. Before last night she might have been a little reticent, but the second the blonde whispered it huskily during sex she was sold. And now the thought of something Karen, and only Karen, called her seemed really romantic. "Maybe just tone it down a little."

"Aww, sweet bunny," Power Girl said before laying a quick kiss on top of the shorter girl's head. "Thanks for putting up with it, I'd be sad to lose that."

"Me too," Tara admittedly quietly, as she stared down at her food.

After that, the two settled into a comfortable silence and began to eat. The black-haired girl decided to start on her oatmeal before it started to get cold. The blonde meanwhile zeroed in on the colorful fruit mélange, always making sure to grab a few pieces at a time so she got a mixture of fruit flavors. It was only when Tara grabbed her mug and took a sip of the delicious, steaming coffee that conversation resumed.

"Damn it," Karen sighed. "I meant to ask you how you take your coffee."

"It's ok I like it black," The skinny girl said. She even took another sip to demonstrate (though she was careful to keep the blanket she had tucked under her arms from slipping down her chest.)

"Good," The Kryptonian nodded sagely. "That is the correct answer."

"I mean, I do like it with cream and sugar too," The musician clarified. "Oh, and peppermint. I really like peppermint. I'm just not picky with my coffee."

"No!" Karen bemoaned with false drama. Her head fell back and the back of her left hand came to rest on her forehead. "You were doing so well. I thought you were the perfect woman. Oh, my poor heart."

Much to Tara's amazement, she found herself sniggering at that. Even just a day before she probably would have been tripping over herself to apologize for not liking coffee enough. She might even have been so nervous that she didn't realize her new girlfriend was joking. Now though she felt at ease.

"Oh, have you got something against cream and sugar?" She asked through a grin.

"Come on," Karen said, rolling her eyes. "You saw me basically inhale that cake last night. You just shouldn't put shit in good coffee. And there's just no reason to ever drink anything but good coffee."

The Kryptonian's adamant declaration, only made Tara's smile grow wider. Cheeks aching slightly, she picked up her water to take a sip. Then nearly did a spit take.

"Besides you should know I like sweet stuff because I like you." She said, her voice warm as a summer breeze, before leaning over and running her tongue up the shorter girl's cheek.

Tara squeaked in surprise. She did her best to not knock over her food, drop her blanket covering, and wipe the saliva off of her face. In these three things, she proved mostly successful. One slice of apple fell off of her plate, but at least it landed on the tray. She got a majority of the spit off her face but ended up with a slick hand in the process. And while her (suddenly rather hard) nipples stayed covered the entire top of her now flushed chest was visible.

"Oh yeah," The taller woman said, smacking her lips like she was at a wine tasting. "That's the good stuff."

Tara could do nothing but stare with wide eyes at her girlfriend as she tried to decide how to react to that. Part of her was annoyed at how easily the woman could catch her off guard. But spontaneity was part of Karen's charm. Another part of her also wanted to say eww. But she didn't want to actually discourage Power Girl from licking her. She quite enjoyed feeling the other woman's tongue on her. Just maybe somewhere other than her face. She also wanted to protest that she wasn't really sweet. But she was still scared that the heroine would realize that on her own, and break things off that she kept that to herself. It was only when she glanced down at her now mostly empty bowl that she spoke.

Or rather she spluttered.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I-I'm so sorry. I never- I didn't say thank you for breakfast. A-And… Wait did I say thank you last night for dinner!? Oh crap, I am so sorry. I can't believe after everything- And the dress! It was- No! It is so beautiful. It-"

As the petite girl babbled tears began to sting her eyes. It was only when she felt a powerful arm wrap around her bony shoulders that she stopped talking.

"Breath, Tara," Karen said softly. "Everything's ok, so just breathe."

It took several deep, shaky breaths for the hyperventilating girl to calm down. The arm around her was both proving to be extremely helpful and entirely counterproductive, but she leaned into the embrace nonetheless. So with eyes closed, she did her best to soothe her nerves. It was only when she finally seemed calm (by Tara's standards) that Power Girl spoke again.

"Firstly, you said thank you at the restaurant. So don't worry about that," Karen said matter-of-factly. "And secondly you don't need to apologize. You can just say thank you. I promise I'm not going to have a meltdown because you said thanks at the end of a meal instead of the beginning."

"Thank you," The short girl said softly, after a moment's hesitation. "Thank you for being so nice to me."

"Of course, Bunny," The heroine said warmly, pulling her spindly lover closer. "I don't ever want to hurt you."

The two were content to simply cuddle for a short time after that. They held each other, savoring the other woman's presence. The silence remained for some time. Neither was willing to break it first, even as they got back to their meal (Tara nibbling on some fruit, and Karen sipping her coffee.) But eventually, the blonde spoke.

"I have to confess," The Kryptonian whispered, looking pointedly away from the tiny lady. "I did have an ulterior motive for bringing you breakfast in bed. Not very heroic of me, is it?"

"W-What?" Tara’s stomach plummeted. What was happening? Her mind leaped wildly. Maybe Power Girl slipped something into her food. It seemed so out of character. But did the young girl really know that? She had only known the heroine for a week. Maybe she had a habit of poisoning her dates. Maybe she was a super serial killer.

"After last night there's a part of me that doesn't ever want to let you leave my bed," The curvy woman said, shooting the girl a wink before uncrossing and recrossing her long legs. "I'll give you three guesses which part."

"Ka-Karen!" Tara squealed, before pulling the comforter up and over her head. It wasn't hard to guess. That was part of the problem. The bombshell was so brazen, even now in the daylight. Last night it had taken several glasses of wine and a sexy striptease to get the high-strung girl to say the word boobs. She had no idea how the blonde could be so effortlessly comfortable with sex. Maybe it was just a thing with beautiful people.

And Power Girl was certainly beautiful. Even her laugh was beautiful.

"How can you still be so shy after finger-blasting my brains out?" Karen asked as she jovially patted the short girl on her blanket-covered head.

“I-I’m sorry. I just…” Tara trailed off. She didn’t actually know what to say. There was no logical reason for her to be embarrassed about this sort of thing with Karen. But the idea of being naked in front of her girlfriend or talking about naughty things still felt off. There was just something deep inside her that made her feel uncomfortable.

“It’s ok, Tara. You’re allowed to be a little wigged out by stuff like this. I hope to get you out of your shell eventually,” Karen explained, her voice sympathetic and soft. “But don’t be sorry. If anything you should be proud of yourself. You could have chickened out at any point last night. But you didn’t. That took guts.”

Tara smiled beneath the blanket. This woman was so incredible

“Thank you for saying that. I’m so lucky you want to be my girlfriend.”

“Of course, Bunny. Also, ditto to you.”

The diminutive girl smiled beneath the covers. But as she got ready to poke her head back out the blonde spoke again.

“Since you're already hiding under the blanket, I did want to check,” She said cautiously. “How do you feel? After last night. I know it's a big moment."

"Good," Was the word that immediately fell from the little lady's mouth. It felt good to no longer be stuck as a virgin. And she couldn't have asked for a better first time. "It was really good."

"It was good for me too, I don't mind saying," Karen said, her smile evident through her voice alone. "But I was asking about now. How are you feeling the morning after?"

"I…" Tara trailed off hugging her knobbly knees to her chest. "It feels good to have finally done it. And I can't imagine how it could have been better… I guess I'm just a little surprised I don't feel more different. Does that make sense? I don't think I'm doing a good job explaining it."

"I think I get it," Power Girl said, wrapping her arm around the blanket mound that contained her girlfriend. "It's a big moment so it feels like it should have a big impact on who you are going forward. And when you don't feel that, it feels wrong."

"Yeah," The musician said pensively. She always imagined that she would leave behind 'Tara The Awkward Virgin' after she finally got cherry popped. But she still felt the same.

"If I can give my two cents, I think that's a good thing. Or at least it's not a bad thing," Karen said calmly. "I think a lot of us feel that way. And the ones who feel changed… Well, I think that's usually how you feel after your first time if something bad happens. So if you don't regret it, and you had a good time, I think you've come out on top. So to speak."

"I don't regret it," Tara said firmly as she worked her head back out. "Like I said I can't imagine how it could have gone better. And I can't imagine anyone would have been better."

"I'm not sure that's true, but I'll take the compliment," Karen said leaning in and kissing her petite partner on the lips. The feeling still sent electricity through Tara even after everything else they had done last night. It was only when her stacked girlfriend pulled away that she noticed their trays had disappeared during her impromptu sojourn to Blanket City.

"Ok next question," Karen said chipperly. "What about the rest of the night?"

"What?" Tara asked, quirking her eyebrow at her girlfriend.

"I'm just fishing for feedback. I've slept with other women before, but it was always casual. Not really a relationship. So we're both in uncharted waters, and I just want to make sure I'm not a shitty girlfriend." If the heroine was actually scared of somehow failing a significant other she hid it remarkably. Instead, she seemed to be genuinely looking for guidance, rather than seeking reassurance. But even if that wasn't what she was looking for Tara was more than willing to sing her praises.

"It was," The black-haired girl paused to consider her next word before leaning against the blonde. "Magical. You were so nice and so fun. And you made me feel so wanted. And it was so nice getting to talk like normal people. This morning when I woke up and remembered what happened, I smiled so hard my cheeks are still sore."

Karen chuckled in delight as she moved to cuddle the small woman. "Well damn. That's a pretty ringing endorsement. That'll be hard to top."

"Please don't worry about that. I'm just glad I'll get to spend more time with you." Tara genuinely wasn't sure she could handle an attempt to outdo that date.

"Fine. Crush my dreams, why don't you?" The superhero joked. "But seriously if I twisted your arm and demanded something to keep in mind for next time what would it be?"

The young musician squirmed at that. After all the time, effort, money, energy, and care Karen had put into their date, it felt wrong to criticize it in any way. But if that was what she wanted, the young musician would **** herself to do so. So she carefully considered her words and then spoke.

"I guess it was a little…" She hesitated for just a moment. "Ostentatious? I just… I'm not used to stuff being that fancy. I'm not really… blue-blooded."

"Fair enough. I kind of went with the full-court press last night," Power Girl admitted. "I don't mind being a little more casual for the next few. Just don't think I'll settle for anything less than the best for you."

Tara tittered at that before saying "Deal."

"Then the last item on the agenda is," The heroine pondered for a moment. "I guess we'll call it PDA."

Remembering that part of last night Tara fought the urge to hide under the blanket again. And while she was able to pull that off she couldn't help but stutter out her response.

"I-I, um… I just d-don't want t-to get… caught. I don't w-want people to see me."

"But if we won't get caught, is it something you might be open to?" Karen asked with undisguised hope.

"M-Maybe?" Tara wasn't sure. And she didn't want to shoot down something her new girlfriend seemed to like. She just wasn't sure if she was ready. "J-Just give me some warning, p-please. And maybe we can work up to stuff like that."

"So keep it to scandalous hand-holding action for now?" The superhero said sarcastically.

"Hey, I like holding hands!" The black-haired girl shot back playfully, relieved beyond words that her girlfriend was willing to be so patient with her.

"I figured, Bunny," Karen spoke warmly. "Thanks for having an open mind."

The two fell back into a comfortable silence again, but before too long Tara spoke.

"What about me?" She asked quietly. When the heroine made a confused noise in the back of her throat, she clarified. "Is there anything I need to do differently? I don't want to be a bad girlfriend either."

"You're good, Tara," Karen reassured her. "After last night I don't really want anything different. I just want… more."

"M-More?" The petite girl's heart pounded wildly. She had an inkling of what that meant. And as the busty blonde moved in front of her (getting on her hands and knees in a way that let her girlfriend look straight down her robe), the twinkle in her azure eyes all but confirmed her intentions.

"Yeah," Power Girl said her already husky contralto dropping even lower. "For example, I've never actually had back-to-back night-to-morning trysts."

The heroine leaned in to whisper in the shorter girl's ear.

"So what do you think, Bunny? Help a girl out, and fuck her again?"

Knowing that she would never get the words out the petite musician chose to mash her lips hungrily against her girlfriend's. In a flash, she found herself on her back, the buxom knockout on top of her. The blonde laid her amazing body against her. There was only a small amount of fabric between the two. Karen made sure that every inch possible of her body was flush against her thin body. And while her full breasts, toned stomach, wide hips, and long legs didn't really line up with their diminutive counterparts, Tara was still lit on fire by the weight on top of her.

Like last night, the short girl felt the need to hold on for dear life as their tongues danced together. She marveled at how good her girlfriend was at overwhelming her one moment and allowing the less experienced girl to experiment the next. But her hands didn't get to remain on the other woman's back for long.

"I've got a better place for those hands," Power Girl murmured without pulling her full lips away. Her own powerful hands took hold of Tara's delicate wrists and began to guide her down. The musician's nimble fingers glided down her well-muscled back. Until they finally passed by the hem of her robe (that had ridden up in the shuffle) and came to rest on her delightfully round rump.

At that moment Tara found her ability to multitask put to the ultimate test. She fought desperately to remain active in the kiss, but the globes against her palms kept pulling her focus. Much like the heroine's impressive chest, each cheek was much too large for her tiny hands. So they were **** to wander around Power Girl's spectacular ass. As she caressed the curves, marveling at the bounty of flawless, silky skin, she only grew hornier and hornier. And when she gave a quick squeeze with her left hand, marveling at the firm muscle, the musician earned a happy groan from her alien lover.

"You like my ass?" Karen purred, moving her lips to brush against the shell of the younger girl's ear. "Maybe y-"

She was cut off by a loud, repeated beeping sound blaring through the bedroom. Tara yelped in terror.

"Wha-Wha-What!? What's happening!?" The black-haired girl seized up in a panic. But the blonde on top of her slumped forward, her face landing in the crook of the girl's neck.

"Noooo…" She groaned in frustration as she pulled herself back up and over to her bedside table. "No no no no no. Come on really?" She asked as she pulled open the drawer and took out a small metallic rectangle. The source of the obnoxious beeping.

She sat next to her girlfriend who had scrambled back into sitting up. The superhero gave the musician a significant look before holding a single finger up to her lips. Then using the same finger she pressed a green button in the center of the device.

The translucent button instantly lit up. And from it was projected a hologram. It was an artificial-looking, gynoid head constructed of viridescent light. Tara was stunned by the tech on display. Karen though mostly seemed annoyed.

"Please tell me you're just calling to say hello," She huffed at the projection.

"Not exactly," A woman's voice spoke back. It was clear and articulate, both non-threatening and authoritative. "You're not an arachnophobe, right?"

"I'm not. But I don't like where this is going," Power Girl pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Yeah, I've gotten that a lot today. There's a giant swarm of them in Nevada. They're moving towards a nuclear silo. I've got Canary, Green Arrow, Hawk, Dove, and Zatana on site." The mystery woman informed her.

"Really? Then why on Earth or anywhere else would you need me?" Karen's temper was under control for now, but it was clearly being tested.

"Because just to be a pain in the ass, they aren't really interested in fighting. They're just trying to run past whoever I throw at them. I need more muscle. I need a Kryptonian. Big Blue is in Indonesia and Kara's in an exam. So you're up."

"Fuck." Karen said, throwing her head back.

"I'm sorry. You know I try to respect the schedule, but it's an emergency." The woman said sincerely. Then added in a lighter tone, "Also I'm supposed to go to Vegas in a month and already paid for the room. So?"

"Ugh, I'll be there in five." Karen sighed deeply.

"Thanks, I'll see who else I can round up. Oracle out." With that, the hologram vanished and a very upset Power Girl turned to her girlfriend.

"I'm really sorry about this Tara," She said, placing a hand on the musician's shoulder.

"Giant spiders want to kill us all. Don't be sorry." The black-haired girl was quiet as she spoke. She wanted to take a deep breath and calm down. But could barely breathe at all. She had no idea how the blonde could be so calm about this. Tara herself was on the verge of panic.

"Thanks, Bunny," She said, offering a warm smile. "Ok let's do this."

In an instant, Karen turned into a blur. The streak of color raced through the apartment before a fully costumed Power Girl stood in front of the tiny girl.

"Ok, so I've got to go." She spoke quickly. "I know you probably don't want to hang out here all day and this sounds like it might take a while. So," she placed a piece of paper on the bedside table, "here's my number. I meant to give it to you last night but got… distracted. Send me a text and we can meet up later. Feel free to use the shower and I've got some makeup wipes under the sink. I know we're not really the same size, but feel free to borrow whatever you need out of my closet. I'll get your dress dry cleaned so don't worry about that."

After Power Girl finished her spiel an awkward hush fell over the room. Tara wanted to say something, but her mind was too busy spinning wildly to form words. Instead, it was the Kryptonian who spoke.

"Thank you for being so cool about this. I'll make it up to you. I promise." The woman pouted at that. Tara had never seen her new girlfriend this sad. That managed to get her to the point she could speak. She wanted to say something to cheer her up and put her mind at ease.

"It's ok," Tara said as confidently and kindly as she could. "You're doing a good thing. You're a hero. I'm really proud to be your girlfriend. Now go."

"Noooo!" Karen whined. "You're too nice. How am I supposed to not jump your bones?"

"Just go," Tara said firmly. Before standing up taking the blanket with her as a makeshift dress. "I'll see you when you get back."

Power Girl leaned down to plant an affectionate, doting kiss on the petite girl's lips.

"Fine," she said, floating towards the window and flipping the latch to open it. "But I'm still going to do something nice for you."

Tara smiled at her heroic girlfriend and waved goodbye.

"Be careful," She said warmly.

"I will," Karen assured her. "Oh, and if you see Streaky, don't worry he's friendly."

The heroine was gone in the blink of an eye. Before Tara could ask her question.

"Streaky?"

Her answer came from behind her in the form of a curious meow. Standing in the doorway to the bedroom was an orange cat staring up at the new person in his home.

"Awww," Tara said, leaning down to offer her hand to try and coax the cat into letting her pet him. She had always liked cats. It was good to know she and Karen had the same taste in pets. After all the crazy super-stuff this morning it was a nice bit of normalcy for them to share.

Or rather it was up until Streaky floated over to sniff her hand.

This would take some adjusting.

Where to next?
