A lonely Saturday.

I collapse into bed, I know her lack of response isn't intentionally trying to stress me out but there is an intense undeniable anxiety. Fuck me. She’s wearing a simple white, long sleeved dress shirt, buttons done up save for the very top one, and a simple pair of light cream slacks, tailored to her figure, it wraps nicely around her thigh and flows down past her knees. Vi is smiling sweetly as she holds up a peace sign. I move on to Vi’s story post. I close the story and notice a fresh story. She would've just posted it? I open the story and a small shiver attacks my body. Not at all sexual in nature, the photo is a simple one, Vi is grinning, her office fit still on, her legs up on a couch cross legged, on one side of her a man I don't recognize holding the camera as he grins into the camera, on the other side of Vi with a casual arm around her resting on the couch, is another man I don't recognize. Beneath them are two separate tags. The former being Ed, a fair skinned, green eyed and curly brown haired man, the one taking the photo. I open his profile and find it locked, from what I can tell is that he would be considered somewhat good looking.

The second account is Max, his account is unlocked. I scroll through the beach blonde skaters account, he is incredibly toned, a lot more than me. Several of his photos are of him shirtless at a skate park or videos of PBs at the gym, his girlfriend is a typical skater girl as well. They're both almost model level attractiveness. I put the phone down as my thoughts swirl inside me violently. Trev was a good looking dude but I was a few levels above him... Max is... hot? for lack of a better word.

Max is a level above me for sure. I clench my fingers tightly as I try and level myself, this amount of anxiety a completely new and foreign feeling for me. I remind myself, he has a girlfriend.... but she's not as hot as Vi, the feeling in my stomach intensifies.

"Hey! I saw your story, you get there okay? How was the drive? How was the meeting with the unit head?"

I put my phone down shamefully, waiting for any sort of reply from my girlfriend.
