A letter

"A letter carrier brought this letter for you" she says and hands me the letter.

I look a little surprised and look at the sender. The letter is from RealDreams, I wonder and open it. I unfold the letter and start reading.

Dear Mr. Gardner,
since you have subscribed to the RealDrems Event Newsletter, I am pleased to inform you that there will be a members-only auction coming this Saturday.
There will be rare characters that have been released for this auction. After a small welcome, a smaller auction will start first. In this auction characters from the 'Super Mario' games with the instance number 76 can be bought. For these, the starting bid is $30,000. After the smaller auction there will be a break, in which there will be some time for conversations.
After the break the main auction will start. I am pleased to announce that the main auction will consist of characters from the extremely popular TV series 'Game of Thrones' with instance number 7.
Since this is such an attraction, the starting bid varies from character to character. However, starting bids between $100,000 and $500,000 can be expected.
The welcome begins at 7pm. You can start showing up at 6pm. If you want, you can take advantage of a limousine service, which can take you to the event. If you would like to use the service, contact us at the phone number below.

I look up and see the three of them looking at me. "What's the letter about?" asks Hermione with interest.

"It's an invitation for Saturday night. I will think about attending there" I say to them and look at the clock.

"Clear the table please, then you are welcome to do whatever you want. Ram in the living room there are some bags of clothes for you. Put them in your room please."

"Yes gladly" she says and all 3 of them get up. They put the clothes away while I go into the living room and sit on the couch.

Should I go to the auction? The prices could get pretty high, but there are some interesting characters there too. Even if I don't buy anyone, I could at least make contacts among the other members.

I am jolted out of my thoughts by Ram, who comes into the living room. "Are these the bags you meant?" she asks, pointing to the bags still on the floor.

"Yes exactly. Please see if you like them. I'd also like to get another maid uniform or two for you, then you can wash the ones you're wearing as well. If you want, you don't have to wear the uniform all the time. Feel free to wear what you like here at home."

"Thank you," she replies, bowing to me. Then she takes the bags and hurries up to her room. Did Ram just bow without me telling her to?

However, things are getting more and more interesting. A short time later, Ikumi comes to me and sits down next to me on the couch.

"What are you up to today?" she asks me, playing with her hair a bit.

"I don't know, I didn't have anything special planned. If you want we can watch some TV." "I'd love to, if you want" she returns.

I take the remote and point it at the TV. After entering a password, I turn on the TV, being careful to only use certain programs.

I sit back and we watch a movie. After 2 hours the movie ends and it is quite late.

"We should go to bed" I say to Ikumi who was watching the movie very interested next to me.

"Yes of course, I think the others are already in their rooms."

We go upstairs and at the stairs we part ways, Ikumi looking behind me briefly before going to her room.

After I go to my room, I change and lie down in bed. Here I let the day go through my mind again.

Ikumi and Ram seem to be better directed towards me. Ram has bowed to me and Ikumi has watched a movie with me. I think I'm making good progress with both of them.

Hermione, on the other hand, is just pretending to like it. She tries to find others who think the same way. I have to be careful that she doesn't come in contact with W.A.R.. I have to think about what to do with her.

After a few minutes, my eyes fall closed and I fall asleep.
