A flirtatious gentleman

“Hi!” Samantha said.

“Oh shit, it’s a girl!” one prepubescent boy responded.

“Get back in the kitchen!” another chimed in.

Great, Samantha thought. This is exactly why I don’t unmute…

“Hey guys, knock it off! Let the lady enjoy herself,” someone finally added. “You okay Empty?”

Silence followed as everyone had muted themselves. Suddenly, Samantha remembered her username.

“Oh I’m alright! Thank you for that!”

Samantha glanced at the username of the man speaking with her. His username was Hiro. She suddenly felt the need to get to know her “Hiro” a little bit better.

“How’s your evening been Hiro?” Samantha asked.

“Not bad Empty, just trying to enjoy myself after a long ass day. What about you?” he responded.

“Oh, the same.” Samantha smiled at the thought of someone relating to her and using these games as an outlet.

She and Hiro began talking about work, money, children, and all sorts of topics during their session, and before she knew it, it was 2 in the morning. She needed to log off.

“Well Hiro, it was my pleasure chatting with you!”

“The pleasure was all mine Empty. And please, call me Bryce. Same time tomorrow?”

Samantha blushed at Bryce’s boldness, and responded in kind.

“It’s a date!”
