A cry for help

Allisa stalked through the remnants of the battlefield. Corpses of men and monsters littered the fields, blood soaked the very soil as a miasma of **** lingered in the area.

"DIE!" Screamed Allisa, flinging fire and thunder at some poor monstrous beast. Allisa has lost track at the number of lingering monster she slaughtered and of course harvested, since arriving at the outskirts of the Demon Lord's castle.

"Haaa huuurr" Allisa heaved heavily. Exhaustion was already starting to set in.

"Pitiful...haaa" The elf muttered between her exhausted breaths. Though her body was still recovering, she couldn't help but feel ashamed at her weaken state. The only positive is that she had collected enough monster material for a new dress to be constructed from.

"Help! Is anyone there! Save me!" Allisa long ears twitched at the distant cries for help. Sluggishly Allisa turned to face the direction the cries for help originated. Unsure if she should response to help.

'It could be a monster mimicking human voices to lure prey to it' A rational part of Allisa's mind reasoned.

'...or it could be a poor helpless human, who knowing or unwittingly has stumbled onto this graveyard of ****. Could you live with yourself Allisa if you left someone to their ****?' a mocking voice in her head asked.

The answer was simple. No.

Though exhausted and weaken, Allisa rushed to the sound of the cries for help. Unsure on whether she will encounter an genuine person in need of help or a monster luring her in.
