“The note? The note was pure genius if I do say so myself…”

“Okay, well… what was on it?”

“Ahem,” I said, clearing my voice, “I’m glad you’ve found my note because we need to talk. I must tell you something that I’ve wanted to tell you for a long time but I have to do it in person, just the two of us. Wait for me at our special place after we finish the breakfast Lancer prepared for the team. Signed, you know who.”

“Who did you address it to?” Raven asked, puzzled.

“No one. This way everyone who sees it will think it is meant for them. Everyone will search their minds and try to figure out where the ‘special place’ is, go there, and wait for their crush to show up. But of course since I wrote the note they’ll be waiting all morning which means you and I will have the morning to ourselves.”

“All morning? That gives us time to go slow!” Raven said with a coy little smile on her face as she took my hand and drew towards her bed.
