A cat

After a moment the door opens and after Edward comes a small girl. She is about a head shorter than you. Her dark hair is reaching to the middle of heir back and on top of it two ears are pointing out. Her breast is average, somewhere between b and c cups if you should guess, but since she is so small and fragile they still seem pretty big. Behind her, a tail is swinging just a little bit, as if she's not sure if she should be afraid or happy. The most prominent part however is her outfit. It has a white shirt with a brown vest on top of it. Beneath that is a short skirt with matching knee long socks. It looks like a schoolgirl outfit. Since you can't believe that's her regular dress, you think she might have dressed herself up for you.

"Hi there, I'm Lira." she says while blushing furiously and after a moment of hesitation she jumps forward to hug you.

"Hi, I am Henry." You answer as she is holding on to you, until Edward clears his throat.

"I don't want to interrupt you two, but If we can do all the paperwork work now, you have all day to get to know each other."

"Sorry" the girl lets you go and blushes even more. As you all sit down, you can't help but notice Lira pushed her chair as close to you as possible.

"So Lira, why don't you tell Henry a little bit about you and why you want him as a Sponsor."

"Well, you probably already know that a lot of monster girls have some traits of animals. In my case, it's a little worse. For some reason, I am closer to an actual cat than most cat girls. My hearing is very sensitive, and I have to wear special ear plugs at night. Also, I can get stressed very fast if something is interrupting my routine. There are also some other ... things."

You're not sure what she means, but the way she looks, it seems she looks a little embarrassed for a moment before she continues.

"But the main point is that I need someone calm who I can relax with. Most sponsors come here to get some action, or they want a lot of girls. Don't get me wrong, I also want other girls, but maybe not that many, cause than it would all be so crowded. That's why I want to go with you. You are so calm, and you want to take it slow. I like that."

"If you want to go slow, you don't have to move in immediately. You can make some visits first if you want." You suggest as you think you would do her a favor. The next moment, you flinch as you hear a loud "NO".

She takes a moment calming herself before she continues. "Please, the AWIO is nice, but it doesn't feel like a home, more like a short Term solution. I want something permanent. Please take me with you." She looks up at you with puppy eyes, and you could not say no to her even if you wanted to.

"Don't worry. I can take you home. I just didn't want to pressure you."

Edward speaks up, "It looks like you two get a long well. If both of you are sure about this, we can do the paperwork and you two can go home."

"I am" you assure him, the cat girl besides you just nodding with an exited look in her eyes.

Edward then goes to get the papers and Lira says she is getting her stuff, leaving you alone once again. As Edward returns with a giant stack of papers, you decide not to read every page, only letting Edward explain the basic things.

It still took an hour going through everything, and Lira came back a long time ago and fidgets nervously in her chair. "That's it" Edward explains. "Just remember tomorrow someone will come to check in on you, so don't sleep too long."

"That shouldn't be a problem. I'm an early riser."

Edward grins at your answer. "If you say so."

You're not sure what you're missing, but you shake his hand before turning to Lira.

"Is that everything?" You ask, looking at the two bags on her side.

"Yeah, I don't need much." Her eyes are fixed on the ground, and you think it's best not to ask more. Instead, you Grab one of the bags and start walking to the exit. The cat girl is quick to follow.

"How are we coming to your place?"

"We're going to take the train. It is just a short walk and a short ride."

"I never saw one in real. Only in the films they show us, but they looked huge and scary."

"They are just big vehicles. They can't hurt you unless you step in front of them." You stop as a sudden thought hits you. "Wait, does this mean you have never been outside the building?"

"We can go to the nearby park on two days a week and once we went to some local stores, but there always has to be a supervisor of the AWIO to make sure we stay safe." She looks kinda sad while telling this. "But they teach us a lot using movies and this thing called internet."

The rest of the walk goes quiet until you arrive at a small train station. You get a ticket for Lira and wait for the train. You should probably get her a long term ticket if she should live with you, but for now it will do.

Once the train arrives, Lira jumps up and grabs your arm.

"Don't be scared, remember it's just a vehicle like the carriages you had in your world." You try to comfort her. She does look less scared now, even though she doesn't let go of your arm. Then as you hear the sound of the break you hear Lira scream and as you look to the side you see her clutching her ears. Damn it, you remember her saying she had sensitive hearing. As the train stops, Lira looks up to you.

"Sorry, I didn't think of this. Are you okay?"

"Yes I'm fine." You see how she is trying to regain her posture. "Shouldn't we go in?"

"You're sure you can do that?"

"Yes, don't worry about me. It's not a problem, I was just ... surprised."

You know she is lying, but if you don't take the train, you have a very long walk home. You think for a moment, then you grab one of the bags as well as the girl's hand and lead her to the door. Once inside, you go to an empty area and sit down.

"Gives me your bag to me. I want you to cover your ears whenever the train is slowing down, okay?"

"Yes" She hands her bag to you. Then she leans against you, hands near her ears. The first stop comes, but it goes surprisingly well. It is not as loud as in the outside and with her ears covered she seems almost comfortable.

Once you go out of the train, you can see how Lira relaxes.

"Tell me Lira how bad was that and don't tell me it just surprised you."

"Well, when we're outside it hurt pretty bad, but inside was okay."

"Why did you lie to me?" You look her in the eyes, and you see how nervous she is.

"I didn't want that you can't use the train just because of me. I didn't want to be trouble."

You sight "Next time tell me. I can't help you if I don't know what's wrong."

"Okay" she just says.

You walk to your home and get inside, you didn't plan for someone to come with you today, so you will have to improvise. First the food and then the guest room. You lead Lira to the living room.

"That is the living room, just sit down and make yourself comfortable. I'll take care of the food, and then we can talk. Is there anything you can't eat?"

"You don't eat cats, right?"

"No, not in this country."

"Then I can eat everything"

You look through your kitchen. It would have been nice to make a special first meal, but it's already pretty late, and you also don't have too many ingredients. You can't change it, so you put some pizzas in the oven and go back to Lira.

"Well, I don't have anything fancy for Dinner today, hope that is ok. As for your room, you can simply take the guest room, I just have to put on some sheets."

The cat girl looks dizzy for a moment. "Can't I sleep with you?"

"Ah.. " That's not what you expected. "Are you sure about that? You don't have to do anything you don't want to."

"But I want to" she says with determination. Then she takes a moment before looking at you with sad puppy eyes. "Don't you wanna claim your little kitty?"
