A bridesmaid

Candace was honored but flummoxed when her best friend Tessa asked her to be the maid of honor at her wedding.

"Really? You want me in the party?" she asked quizzically.

Tessa's face was comically shocked at having even been asked that question, "but of course!"

"But what if I have ... issues with the outfit?" Candace danced around the obvious point she was making.

"What are friends for?!" Tessa retorted strongly, "if it happens, we'll all get naked in solidarity!"

"Really?!" Candace's eyes beamed.

"Fuck yeah," Tessa continued, before lowering her voice, "but don't let it happen, okay?"

Candace silently nodded her head quickly in agreement, as though she had any control over what would happen with her clothes.
