A boy

Mai looked around desperately, begging that whatever had made the noise wasn't a person.

But to her misfortune, a boy came out of the bushes. She didn't know the boy at all, and he didn't seem to go to her school, because he wasn't wearing a uniform.

—Mai, my name is Mai.

—Pretty name.

—And what are you doing around here? —Jackson got a little closer to Mai.
