A Mystery to Solve

"Lana," Lois broke the kiss. "The truth is, I didn't come to this club tonight for sex. I'm on the trail of a story."

So the reporter filled her new girlfriend in on the missing women. Lana listened, her hands never leaving Lois' ass, asking an occasional question for Lois to explain or expand on as best she could. When the brunette was finished, the redhead nodded her head.

"You're right, that's something that needs looking into. Do you have any other leads?"

The reporter sighed. "Not really—I was trying to chat up a bartender when the drinks caught up to me. But there is one thing I noticed..."

Lois pointed to a scrawl of graffiti on the bathroom wall—a crude black rectangle, sketched in black permanent marker. Above and below it were an enigmatic legend: "BITCHES GO IN, THEY DON'T COME OUT."

"There's been an...urban legend in Metropolis." Lois retrieved her camera and took a picture of the clue, which meant stepping away from Lana. "They call it 'The Black Door.'"

"And you think that might be here?" Lana scowled.
