Who Do I Meet Next?
A Messenger
“Oh my god look at the time!”
Leah wasn’t wearing a watch, nor was there a clock in the barn for her to see, so I had no idea what she was on about. All I do know was that she came over and hugged me before planting another of those amazing kisses she could give on my lips again.
Then before I could say anything Leah released the hug and bolted out the door after getting him top. From outside the door came, “Well someone must have had some fun in the barn!”
I got my shirt and pants back on and went outside in time to see two of the movers walking after Leah, whistling at the view they had. I caught up with them and broke their concentration. “So is there anything you wanted besides to watch the young lady?”
The pair turned their attention to me. “Oh hey I just came to tell you that we got the container emptied, so anytime you want to start unpacking you are welcomed to do it!"
I looked at my watch and saw that I had apparently cracked the face and it had stopped a little after two thirty in the afternoon. “Say you wouldn’t happen to know what time it is?”
“A little after four. Why are you expecting anyone else?” The mover smirked, and jabbed his fellow mover in the ribs. The pair went their way, after handing me the key to my front door. I went inside and found the living room had already had the furniture set up in a way that made sense to me. Looking around I began to think of where to start. I could set up the kitchen, but why bother, there were restaurants handy to get something to eat. And besides I haven’t anything to put in the cupboards or fridge. So why waste my time in the kitchen?
Instead it hit me- the bedroom. Going to the bedroom I found that the bed was already set up but not made. I went to the boxes and found the one labeled “Bedding” and got out a sheet set, pillows and a blanket. As I fitted the sheet to the corners I heard from the living room.
“Hello! Is Anyone home?”
I couldn’t place the voice, so I just tossed the cover sheet onto the fitted sheet and went to see who it was. I had just come around the corner of the hallway to the living room when I spotted her. Man I had to say that the picture that Leah showed me didn’t really do her justice. If my memory serves right it was Heather Walker in a solid black dress that barely hid the curves that the other picture showed me.
She didn’t wait for me to say anything. “Hi, I’m Heather Walker, one of your neighbors, come to invite you to a ‘Greeting Gathering’ over at the Meyers tomorrow at seven PM. Dress is optional as is bringing anything this one time!”
Heather began looking me over from head to toe, running the tip of her tongue over her button lip, which was exciting me. Before I could say anything, Heather spoke up.
“I don’t know where you came from, but here on the west coast it’s customary to tip a messenger!” Adding what left me with no doubt about what kind of tip she wanted. “And I’ll bet that you have one hell of a tip you can give someone like me!”
Do I Tip Her?
