A Ladies-Only Weekend

They were spending a wellness weekend at an upscale rental cabin. The property had a little outdoor sauna, advertised as the Finnish sauna experience.

Naturally, they assumed they'd wear swimsuits.

Then Abigail discovered the sign:
TRADITIONAL FINNISH SAUNA — STRICTLY TEXTILE-FREE — TOWELS PROVIDED

Emily said, “So... do we wear the towels?”

Samantha replied, “I think you're supposed to sit on them.”

“Wait. You mean—?”

“But—we're American. There has to be another option.”

But then Olivia, the most confident woman in the group, shrugged.

“Come on. It's ladies only. No one'll see us.”

She took off her swimsuit.

Everyone stared.

“What?” Olivia said.

Nobody answered.

A brief, increasingly awkward discussion followed. Then, one by one, the others followed suit.

Ten minutes later, they emerged from the sauna one by one, sweaty.

“Where's the shower?”

It was Abigail again who spotted the sign first:
COOL OFF IN THE LAKE.

“Absolutely not.”

“It's fifty feet away.”

“That’s fifty feet naked outside.”

Olivia—always confident—said, “Nobody can see us. It's pitch dark outside.”

“Are you sure?”

“What could possibly happen?”

They started running.

FLASH

A few feet away stood Madison, the friend who had stayed behind in the house. Camera in hand.

She lowered it slowly.

“I thought you said you wanted a group photo.”

“NOT LIKE THIS!”
