A Day at The Zoo

Clara watched as the zoo opened and the guests made their way in, hiding among the tropical foliage with the top half of her body sticking out. Surely the guests would come by, notice the naked brunette in the exhibit with the Amazonian gorillas, and call the staff to come to her rescue!

Unfortunately, from the various comments she received...

"Dude! That ape is so **** to escape it shaved it's fur off!"

"Kinda skinny for a gorilla. I hope this zoo is feeding her properly."

"Look! It's Kiko from the site's Kiko Cam!"

"Huh. My cousin always that these guys are our closest cousins, but I never realized how much they look like us..."

"I. Am. Not. A. Freaking. Gorilla!" Clara screeched in frustration, grabbing the bars and shaking herself back and forth before jumping up and down.

"How adorable! Remember when Clara used to do that whenever we had to put her down for naptime, Harold?"

"Yeah, our little monkey is being mimicked by a great ape."

"Mom?! Dad?!" Clara gasped as she saw her own parents walk away while laughing. Her own parents didn't recognize her! "Wait! Stop! Come back! It's me, Clara! Your Little Monkey?! Mommy, Daddy?! Come back!"

As the last shred of hope walked over to the next exhibit, Clara slunk down to the ground in defeat. It was bad enough that her childhood friend and her college roommate didn't recognize her, but if her own mother and father couldn't tell the difference between her and one of the Amazonian gorillas, what hope did she have for anyone to get her out of here?!

"Okay..." Clara stated as she desperately tried to look on the bright side of her situation, not noticing another Amazonian gorilla approach her and sit down next to her as it began to groom her hair for bugs. "So nobody can tell that I'm not a shaved zoo gorilla. Not even my own parents, as hurtful as that is. But, nobody is stupid enough to mistake Kiko for me, right? They'll see through her disguise, put two and two together, and get me out of here! Am I right?!"

The Amazonian Gorilla hooted in response as she picked a bug out of Clara's hair and handed it to her 'silverback'.

"Thank you." Clara said as she went to put the bug in her mouth... Only to toss it away in disgust. "I hope they realize it soon!"

Now, one other thing that made Amazonian Gorillas different from their African relatives was what happened when they lost their fur. See, it was by no accident that Kiko made it look like she was **** enough to escape that she shaved her fur.

Which was why Kiko was standing in the women's locker room admiring her now furless body, looking exactly like a muscular human female than an actual gorilla. And to make it even more uncanny, she was a dead ringer for -

"Twit-Twoo! Dang, Clara! When did you get so jacked, girl?! What gym do you go to?"

Kiko turned around to see a towel clad Paula; the zoo's panda keeper.

"Oh... Uh..." Kiko stammered.

"I mean, I've been trying to get that ripped for ten years now, but you look like Ms. Olympia!" Paula exclaimed, looking Kiko up and down. She raised an eyebrow and put a hand to her chin in thought. "Say... Have you gotten taller? I mean, last I saw you, you were 5'6". Now you're... What? Seven feet tall?"

"Uh, Seven and a half, actually." Kiko replied nervously. Was she discovered?!

"Man! Talk about a growth spurt!" Paula said with a laugh, slapping the shaved Amazonian gorilla on the arm. "Honestly, I'd kill for a body like that!"

"Oh, thank you." Kiko replied with a laugh of her own.

"You know," Paula said with a serious expression, "word on the grape vine is that you quit earlier to try other things. In case you need some extra cash until you find what you're looking for," she handed Kiko a card from her locker, "my big sister is looking for some help over at her company. She could use a big gorilla like you!"

"'G-g-gorilla'?!"

"Yeah. Somebody who's extremely buff. Sorry, we're from Jersey."

"Oh. Uh, thanks." Kiko said as she went to Clara's old locker and pulled out the former keeper turned replacement gorilla's clothes. "I'll take it into consideration."

"Catch ya in the funny papers, Clara!" Paula said with a laugh as she headed to the showers.

"Yeah..." Kiko replied as she got dressed in Clara's clothes, grunting from them being to tight. Once she heard the sound of water running and Paula loudly singing Tony Bennet, Kiko looked down at the card. "I have no idea what a job or money are," she grinned widely, "but they sound really freeing!"
