A Cozy Gathering Getting Uncozy

"I feel like more than just sandwiches," said Betty's dad in just his pants and no shirt or shoes. "I worked up quite an appetite."

"Work?" Alice quirked a smile in her husband's bathrobe and no shoes. "I thought it was an amusement." Her husband smiled back.

"I'd like something more than sandwiches, too, Mrs. Cooper!" Archie said in just his shoes, pants, and shirt. "Burgers...or pizza!"

"Yes, I'll make them for you Archie!" Betty happily volunteered. "And you, too, Mom and Dad! You just sit at the kitchen table and I'll do all the cooking!"

"Uh, alright, Betty," Alice said, suddenly ready only to sit by and be ready to assist. "Put an apron on. You don't want to ruin your dress."

All Betty had on were shoes and the dress.

"...Moose, now that you have your shirt off, may I feel your muscles?" Veronica could be heard from the living room.

"D'uh, sure! Midge likes doing that, too!"

"What a dope," Reggie said. "You're thinking of her, when you have Veronica wearing just her panties!?"

"But not for long!" Veronica giggled.

Hal and Alice looked at each other, still uneasy about what was happening in their house.

This made Betty uneasy. "Everybody promised to not tell anybody!" Her reminding them did much to reassure them and her. They believed the secret would be kept. "Everything should be-"

"The curtains!" Alice cried, getting up and rushing out to draw the ones in the living room.

"We have been careless!" Hal said. "What if the neighbors have already looked in!?"

Betty had finished shaping the burgers and was thinking if there was anything she could do or say to make this any better. There was a long silence.

Her mother returned to the kitchen red-faced. "I'd never seen a naked man that muscular." Her husband had a large, middle-age paunch.

"Well, the curtains are closed, so everybody can be nude and..., uh, all."

"Betty's right!!" Archie said, jumping up, determined to back her up. "I'll be nude, too!" and he began taking off his shirt and pants.

Hal almost smiled as he loosened his too tight belt.

Alice lost her husband's baggy bathrobe.

And Betty unzipped her dress while she left on the apron. She wasn't about to fry burgers completely nude!
