A Church Basement in Brooklyn

The creaky old door abruptly swung open, just wide enough for Father McGuinness to step through with his arms full of grocery bags. It then snapped shut just as quickly. After just a few moments, the Father slipped out again and made his way up the sidewalk, working just a little too hard to maintain a nonchalant appearance.

Unbeknownst to the dedicated priest, a pair of binoculars followed him all the way back to his little parish house around the corner. This was the eight delivery to the church's side door in the two days since the world had fallen apart, and the owner of the binoculars had a confident guess as to what lay inside. Rumors of large caches of unclaimed women swirled among The Unfortunates as rumors always do, but there was never any truth to them. Why would there be? What man would share the location of prey that he could have already claimed? No, the era of talk was past. It was a time of action, and men who acted reaped the rewards.

The binoculars were gently set onto the table beside the window, and the door to the small apartment shut without a sound.

Hey, spinningsolo here. Thank you for reading my branch of Claim Day. I was inspired by the original story and couldn't stop coming up with ideas for the world MonsterInNeed created, so I decided to share one of them. I'm trying to stay true to the idea of CHYOA, and the classic books we all grew up with, where the reader's choices have material impacts on the plot. The idea is also to create an erotic photo-book like my previous work, but taking advantage of the crazy advances in AI generation since I last contributed 5 years ago. I write all the text myself, and I only have a vague idea of where it will go from here, so please leave ideas for plot directions in the comments. My goal is to alternate between moving the plot forward in time and expanding the choices and experiences available. Thanks again!
