A (final?) author’s note

When I started writing this, it was supposed to be me dipping my toe in, to try to see if I could write something in this format. Now it’s 400 chapters later, and I’m wrapping up my story. It still feels weird.

I’ve grown to really like the characters I’ve created, and it seems like others do as well. It’s hard to end, but I’ve been struggling more and more to come up with good story threads for this group, honestly. It was time to finish. It’s possible I could return to this later, but for now, this is it for this branch.

I do have plans to make a sequel, following one of the kids, but that also means a big time skip, so there’s space to come back here if I get a good idea. The sequel will be another branch of this story, so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested. I plan on leaving most of the kids pretty vague so people can make their own sequel branches if they want.

For now, I plan to focus on the traveler branch, and there’s some fun stuff coming there. If you haven’t read it I recommend it, as well as the other active branches!

As usual, thank you so much for reading, the support I’ve gotten is insane! As long as people keep reading, I’ll keep writing.

Updating this to say, the sequel branch is ongoing, and over 100 chapters deep as of the time of this writing! If you’re looking for more, there’s plenty!
